So, this'll be my last post for 2010. So I decided to put my top five favorite photos I took this year. Which is really, really hard to choose, man. But anyways...these go in no particular order. =D

PCC Report; Kind Of...

Ok, considering the last con report took me like...a month, I would call a week prompt. :D
So, here's my "kind of" report. I decided to not go into too much details. I do however have tons of pictures I want to post and I will be doing separate posts for certain stuff, like most of the minishoots I did over the weekend. So um, yea, without further ado, my sort of, kinda con report of Phoenix Comicon 2010. :D

Thursday
I called cherrytsuna(Cheryl) early to see if she wanted to check in early to our hotel room and then I picked her up and we headed to downtown Phoenix. Got to the hotel and was able to check in early, and put all of cherrytsuna's luggage into the room.

meiye(Mei) arrived, but I had to go back home then, because it's my mom's birthday, so I left the remaining key cards to Cheryl to give to the rest of our room mates, amazinggilbo(Leexy) and her mom, which wouldn't be arriving until later that night.

After dinner, I bust out my sewing and in trying to finish Taiwan and Hong Kong, I didn't sleep at all. But in the end, time won out and I wasn't able to finish those cosplays. OTL

Friday

So, I got over the fact that I spent an all nighter for nothing. Started packing around 6AM and got out of the house around 8ish. I got to our hotel room while everyone was still asleep, but they soon woke up when I got there. So while my roomies all got ready, I decided to go to the con and get my badge and maybe take pics of people.

No lie, this dude was the first cosplayer I saw and took a picture of. Lawls.

I didn't really have much planned except taking pictures. Friday was the day for the big Reborn Orange Jumpsuit group. I believe the group had um...15 people? It was a huge group.

I ARE PLAYING PHOTOGS (btw, I had three cameras on me at that moment)

Um, so...that concrete was hot. Like, fucking boiling hot. Like, holy shit I probably shouldn't have done that, but I wanted the shot so badly. It hurt a lot, but I was fine for after a few minutes.

Anyways, there are mooooooore pictures of the group, plus pairing shots and scenarios and lots more shenanigans, but I've decided to post that in a different post to make this entry less cluttered.

So, moving on! The gathering lasted for like 3 hours. I was beat and my mood was winding down because of lack of sleep, lack of food and my own personal drama, so I got out of there for to get food snacks for our suite and I needed an afro wig for my next day's cosplay. Got back to the room to see it full of people changing or just lounging in general/escaping from the heat. The snacks I bought really came in handy then. Then I was carted around by ~~Frik and Frak~~Mei and Cheryl to take pictures of their Labyrinth Ball Masquerade outfits.

I'm sure both were the belles of the ball. Except I heard from them that it was pretty fail and it was more like a rave. =/

Then I went back to the convention center with emmayori(Emma), placidmage(Terri) and their friends to go to Spence, Tori, Leexy and Aleyna's cosplay panel. After that I did a walk around the dealer's hall, though nothing instantly grabbed by attention. I was REALLY tired by this time, so I opted not to go to the JFashion Show, which is a good thing, coz they didn't have enough seating and my group got turned away, so I wouldn't have made it in anyways. But at least there are pictures of my friends that were in it:

I got back to the hotel and Mei, Cheryl and Terri and I ended up going to the hotel restaurant and I treated them to dinner (though Terri was just there for company, since she's eaten already). And then after going back up to the room, I ended up crashing on the couch. Apparently, there is a picture somewhere out there where I'm passed out snoring on the couch. I woke up two hours later hearing Mei, Cheryl and Leexy's mom talking about yaoi, I think. XD And then Leexy got back from the rave and we all went to bed.

Saturday
So, Saturday was kind of odd. First of all, I never actually made it to the convention center. Hahaha...uh, and second I spent most of the time photographing Mei and Cheryl in their One Piece costumes.

I don't mind, I got a lot of really good pictures. I also got to photograph the SB1070 Protest March in the middle of our shoots.

I have like 30 pictures of the march, and there's one I really like that I wanna post on dA...I'm just a bit afraid of, I don't know...political criticism. /shrug
Got back to the hotel room to find a lot of people in there once again, doing last minute costume stuffs.

I also did a mini shoot with Terri's Nunnally costume before she changed into Allen.

And a bit of Nodame with rideru_takaya. We were supposed to be Nodame and Masumi, but I never got pictures of myself as Masumi. :<

Well, I never made it to the masquerade, because I had to go home for a bit for my mom's birthday dinner party (yea another one). But here's pictures of my friends and their awesome skits.

Sunday
We woke up and were kind of slow with getting ready. Me and my roomies (with the exception of Leexy's mom) went down to the hotel restaurant to get breakfast and I bought Leexy hashbrowns, which apparently did not taste that good. D:

Got to the con later than I wanted. But we arrived just in time for epic group picture before Terri, Emma and their friends left for the Grand Canyon.

I love everyone in this picture liek whoah. I feel so blessed to have found such awesome friends and I'm going to stop now before I get any mushier.

Sunday was my Reborn day! Rydel was Enma, and I made her hold my hand when we were walking around the convention. >D

There was a lot of this going on. Um, I must have more than 50 pictures with just silly faces, no lie.

I also did a minishoot with Tiffany and Amber in their awesome Organization coats. :D

So, most people were leaving or had left already. Rydel had changed into Kyoko and her sister was Haru, but we didn't get to take pictures before they had to leave. I probably should have done that before going to take pics of Aleyna's K-ON group. D: But oh well.

IDK, Gaga!Hibari???! XD

During our K-ON! shoot outside, these guys from the volleyball tournament that was also going on suddenly joined the girls for pictures. We told them they should look away dramatically from the camera and they played right along. :D And then after the K-ON! shoot, Lars, Aleyna and I took Cheryl home. I guess Lars was really tired, because on the way back to downtown Phoenix he fell asleep in the backseat.

Why, yes, that is Hibari passed out in my backseat. :D

I took Aleyna and Lars to Sing High and treated them to dinner. I'm glad you guys liked the food! Let's do that again some other time. :D
So, all in all, the con was only alright for me, but what made it epic for me was my awesome friends. ♥

Con-nichiwa ness

The thing about doing a recap after the con has been over for more than a month is that you loose a lot of details. Hahaha, oops. Oh well, there are pictures~!

First of all, Con-nichiwa was one of those guest driven conventions that if you weren't there for the guests, you didn't have much to do but derp around in costume. Which is what mostly me and my roomies did~! :D

I roadtripped with elle_hazard and tasu down to Tucson. I was kind of passed out in the back seat chillin' with some wig heads so I don't remember much of the car ride.

They changed into Gintama and made epic faces at each other.

The rest of our party(tamayaki and greyfinch) got their around night time and we decided to go to Denny's for dinner.

There was also seeing cherrytsuna, meiye and emmayori in between there, but lol, fuzzy memory. OTL

Also while in our hotel rooms, greyfinch got upset at tamayaki for calling her computer a laptop and shouted at her, "IT'S A SATELLITE!" really angrily. And we all laughed really hard...I probably lost a lot of brain cells. I'm sure no one got that but those who were in the hotel room that night. :'D

The next day~

We kidnap a toiea for Circus tiems.

Except it was Paparazzi!Jade and we had this competition on who could photograph the worst cosplayers. We're so horrible, man...I'm not going to post those pics, because they're kind of horrible, plus they're full of motion blur and horrible lighting.

We also took Circus pictures for a bit. toiea as Joker, elle_hazard as Beast, tasu as Dagger and cherrytsuna as Wendy. And tamayaki as Ciel, but I didn't get a picture of them all together...but I thought I did.

Then toiea had to leave to go judge the masquerade. And we derped around some more~

So, it was getting late and we were getting hungry and elle_hazard knew this awesome pie place called Something Sweet that was open late. They're open until 2AM~ And they had the most amazing pieeees, omg.

We traipsed back to our hotel where we worked on cosplay stuff, which for me was make my Dying Will Flame and X-Gloves at 1am in the morning. XD Also, kidnapped toiea again to sleep in our room so I can help her with her sekrrit!cosplay for the next day. :DDDDDD

Which ended up as Dino! :D Haha, we decided this like literally a week before the con. Also, those tattoos were a pain, which is seriously what took the longest, geez. Oh well, it looks awesome, yo~

Also, we had this in joke in which Dino likes to buy cheap hookers and we were going to go around and take pictures of Dino with skanky dressed cosplayers. Which there were TONS of the day before. But we couldn't find much on the last day...so sad. :(

We did however found a few.

Afterwards we ran around the con for a little bit more...I picked up some commissions from artist alley (which included Ugetsu/G~) and looked around the exhibitor's hall. My homies got changed out of their Tales of the Abyss wear, which I realized too late that I didn't get a picture of, and we went to grab lunch. I wasn't feeling well then and I thought I was just hungry, but I still wasn't feeling too well after the food, so I decided to get a ride with emmayori who was leaving earlier than my crew.

The first half of the ride was uneventful, probably because I kept dozing on cherrytsuna but we made a quick pit stop at a Dairy Queen somewhere between Mesa and Casa Grande I think...idk. But quick it was not. They forgot our order and we waited for more than 30 minutes I think...which is ridiculous for "fast food". But we high tailed it out of there as soon as we got our food and on our way again. I was feeling better and much more awake during that part and could contribute to the conversation then. And much conversation was had. ♥

Anyways, all in all, the convention sucked, but hanging with friends and derping around was awesome, the end! :D

I hate that I don't even have time to give a good post to explain this.

To make a long story short, a massive tropical storm, Typhoon Ondoy laid waste to my island home of the Philippines. Specially the northern island of Luzon. While my relatives are okay and well off enough, there are many more who are not. I feel so bad and helpless right now, and at the moment this is the only thing I can do.

My lovely BFF/partner-in-crime/soulmate, the wonderful immortallylost needs to clean out her room, and she needs to throw out/give away some things to make room. Rather than give this away to the Salvation Army where no one will most likely get what the heck this is, she'd rather want someone to have use out of it.

What: Vivi (FFIX Version) included are the following:
-Jacket (made of vinyl, fully lined)
-Pants (also out of vinyl, not lined, you'd need tights or leggings or something)

Size: She says she's a 10. To be more exact, the bust should fit 36-39 in, the pants should 39-41. The boots are a size 9.

This is going to be unlocked for a week. :)

Anyways, here's my con report/highlights/description of con shenanigans.

First of all, Yaoi Jamboree is a horribly named convention that was held at the Phoenix Renaissance Hotel (or something like that), in Glendale. This is its first year and for a first year con, it has an impressive guest list. Some of them being Futaba Aoi and Mitsuba Kurenai (Level C, West End, Tokyo Guardian) and Eiki Eiki (The Art of Loving, Dear Myself, World's End) and Zaou Taishi (Princess Princess, Electric Hands, Kakumei no Hi).

As a general review of the con, it wasn't too bad, but I only went one day, which was, from what I can see from the schedule, the only time worth going. It was when they had the guest panels and also, the publisher's panels. I think it could have been planned better, and really needs more PR the next time. It certainly has a lot of potential and the hotel was really nice and ritzy so I hope they keep that.

Anyways, over all it was good. Actually it was more than good. I wasn't expecting too much out of the con, and was just there for the guest. I knew that I would have fun regardless (because of who I was going to be with), but my expectations were surpassed. :D

Okay, enough review-y stuff. Time for the shenanigans! Ugh, I'm getting giddy just thinking about it again. XD

So, first off tasu and tamayaki arrived in Atobe and Oshitari (respectively), and whisked me away to West~~End~~ Gate, where the hotel was located. I got a badge, and then we passed the time trying to do a little photoshoot for Atobe and Oshitari. We kept getting distracted by one thing of another. captain_monty and her friend (I always think of her as Haruhi XD) arrived with boba drinks. Mmmm...Bah, anyways, Ken was wearing Sanzo (which I was stupid enough to forget to ask a picture of, bah), whilst her friend was in this gorgeous gown.

Atobe-buchou wanted in on the lolita action.

We went back to trying to get some Tenipuri action, but a group of Japanese ladies who spoke minimal English asked for pictures of Atobe and Oshitari. They were the first to recognize Tenipuri at all and they kept going "Oshitari kawaii!" XD LOL, yes, our little Tako is sooo kawaii~! >3 Anyways...after the pictures, Tako and I were going "dude, aren't those the guests?" but we weren't sure. I threw Tako under the bus and made her go up to them and ask if they were the guest. As it happened two of the ladies were Futaba and Mitsuba-sensei. Tako and I totally started spazz!flailing. Their interpreter/assistant wasn't with them at the time, so communication was a little rough. There was lots of broken English (from them) and broken Japanese (from us) flying around. But we did convey how we admired them and how their mangas were the first hardcore yaoi manga we read. XD They were so nice, and they gave us these postcard sets that they signed for us. Tako asked to take pictures with them, and then the sensei's asked for Tasu to join too, and she jumped in there all haughty like in the front. The ladies laughed at that and went "Atobe rashi!" XD I'm not even sure how we got on the subject but we found out that Futaba-sensei also likes TeniMyu. She whipped out her PSP to show us something and it happens that she has the special edition Crisis Core PSP. Which Tako also has! So much in common! XD

Later in their panel, we found out that their favorite was the second cast (they saw HyouteiMyu too), and their favorite actor was "Shirota-kun" (so cute how they refer to him XD). Also, they did some musical report doujinshis. And something that Tasu flipped over, they do Gintama doujinshi. She got another postcard signed and Mitsuba-sensei drew Gintoki for her. They were so sweet. I have to be honest, I came to see Eiki-sensei, but I had more fun at their panel than Tsuda and Eiki-sensei's panel. Probably because of the things we had in common. LOL

Anyways, we took more pictures of Atobe and Oshitari.

Tasu kidnapped a chair just for this.

There are more pictures, but mostly out of character (but hilarious!) and doujinshi scenes, according to Tako. XD
After this they went back to Tako and Ivy's house to get Ivy and get ready for PuriPuri times!

At the quickstop at WalMart, Mikoto is not amused.

We got there just in time for Eiki Eiki and Zaou Taishi-sensei's panel. Everyone was delighted by my companions costumes (as they should be). When the guests arrived, Zaou-sensei waved to them. The panel was basically question and answer. I asked about the Haru Natsu Aki Fuyu series. Yea, it's Yuri, I know, but my question was valid. Also, there was a particular question someone asked that I really liked the response to. It was about Dear Myself, and how Eiki-sensei got the idea. She said basically she was thinking about a different kind of death and exploring how one can lose themselves in that way. Ok, that was a totally bad reiteration, but I really liked her answer. Anyways, after the panel they did a mini signing session for those who missed out on the signing in the morning (which we did). They laughed and looked amused when I presented them with the Keroro Tokouhon doujinshi. I was kind of embarrassed. Then I tried to ask in horrible Japanese if I could take a picture of them with Tako, Tasu and Ivy. We went outside, because the lighting sucked inside the panel room.

Right next to Eiki-sensei! I'm ecstatic! XD

After that we were going to get food, but got sidetracked by the dealers room. I bought stuff, which I shouldn't have, but it was cheaper than going to ebay or like...animaxis or something. By the time we got done (technically, I was the only one allowed since I'm the only one with a badge, but Ivy's admirer hooked us up), it was time for Futaba and Mitsuba-sensei's panel, which I've already said was quite fun. :D

We got food at West~~End~~ Gate and tried to convince Tako to be Sougo for Gintama cosplay. It was easy to convince Ivy to be Shinpachi. :3 Also, lots of mayonnaise jokes and Tako!faces. We went back to the con around 10 to see if anything was going on, and we found the dance/rave. There was like 10 people in there. XD Tasu has the awesome idea to storm in with their Vampire Knight costumes and just be retarded. Which they did, but it was like 11:30 when we got back, and there was like...4 people left. XD But we had a dance party of our own, and I took documentation. The pictures I have are hilarious. I tried to rave with one glow stick that Ivy found, but it didn't work quite so well. Also, C is for cookie, and that's good enough for me. *nods*

This is a yaoi convention after all.

We tried to do a VK photoshoot, too, but lighting and getting kicked out of the hallway hindered that.

There was a comfy couch at the hotel. It woulda been nice to fall asleep on.

So...it really was a lot of fun. I had a blast and now I can't stop thinking about how going to YCon would be so much more fun. Anyways, thanks again to tasu, tamayaki, elle_hazard. You guys rock so much! ♥
