TrendSet Munich. The International Trade Fair for Interiors and Lifestyle in Munich.

TrendSet is the international trade fair for interiors and lifestyle in Munich. Twice a year, in January and in July, approximately 2,000 brands and collections from 40 countries meet around 42,000 trade visitors on the grounds of Messe München. For three days, buyers from retail, wholesale, and online trade as well as hospitality and food service order the new products of the upcoming season.

Across 6 theme worlds and 2 topic areas on approximately 60,000 square meters of exhibition space, TrendSet maps the complete assortment of a modern lifestyle store: home, garden, decoration, kitchen, kids, fashion, and jewelry. All under one roof.

In January, TrendSet is one of the industry’s first order dates of the season. In July, the first and largest summer order fair for interiors and lifestyle in Germany.

Who visits TrendSet?

TrendSet is not a consumer show. Every visitor is a purchasing decision-maker. 78 percent of trade visitors come from the interiors and lifestyle retail trade.

At TrendSet, you will find all the assortments a modern lifestyle store needs: home accessories, tableware, scented candles, gift items, stationery, fashion, and jewelry. Six theme worlds and almost 40 product categories in one place. Directly orderable for three days.

Gift items, souvenirs, candles, stationery, calendars, postcards, and seasonal decorations are concentrated at TrendSet across the Home & Giving and Decoration & Handicrafts theme worlds. In January you order for spring and Easter; in July for fall and Christmas.

Furniture, lighting, rugs, home textiles, bed linen, vases, and design objects: the Home & Giving theme world covers the complete living assortment. Plus Bath & Wellness with fragrances and wellness products, and a broad take-home assortment of tableware, vases, candles, gift items, and seasonal decoration as a meaningful addition to your range.

The Garden & Outdoor theme world and the Floristry & Decorative Elements product category bring together planters, outdoor furniture, garden decoration, artificial plants, floral supplies, and BBQ. In January you order for the spring season; in July for fall and Christmas.

Fashion, fashion accessories, jewelry, and watches can be found in the Fashion & Jewelry theme world and in the TrendSet Bijoutex topic area. Immediate orders are available for many assortments in the Bijoutex — bridging the gap between order and sale for buyers with short lead times.

At TrendSet, you order two things at once: the décor for your rooms and the lifestyle assortment for your hotel store. Tableware, home textiles, home accessories, outdoor furniture, fragrance collections, gift items, jewelry, and fashion can be found across several theme worlds. Boutique hotels, alpine resorts, and hospitality are a distinct purchasing audience at TrendSet.

The Dining & Gourmet theme world brings together tableware, table décor, gourmet products, spirits, snacks, and specialty coffee. You round out your assortment with vases, gift items, and home accessories from the other theme worlds — all under one roof.

In the Kids & Family theme world, you will find Toys & Play, School & Everyday, Kids Furniture & Textiles, Kids Dining & Tableware, and Kids Fashion & Accessories. From toys and children’s furniture to children’s textiles, children’s tableware, kids’ fashion, and school supplies. A dedicated theme world for the complete kids buying trip.

At TrendSet, you experience first-hand what you present in your online store. You see the products up close, assess materials and quality, place orders on site, and meet the brands in person. Three days of structured buying replaces weeks of dispersed supplier research.

You are a hairdresser who sells jewelry and fragrances. You run a pharmacy and supplement your range with wellness products. You are a naturopath, a yoga studio owner, or you operate a convenience store with a gift section. TrendSet is the right platform for you, too. Anyone who carries home accessories, vases, jewelry, fragrances, gift items, or gourmet products will find the right brands here.

Who exhibits at TrendSet?

Manufacturers, brands, importers, and sales representatives in the interiors and lifestyle sector exhibit at TrendSet — from established brand manufacturers to start-ups and newcomers. In Munich, they reach the qualified retail trade in the DACH region, Northern Italy, and adjacent markets. One of the highest-purchasing-power catchment areas in Europe.

Your assortment fits one or more of the TrendSet theme worlds — Home & Giving, Decoration & Handicrafts, Garden & Outdoor, Dining & Gourmet, Kids & Family, or Fashion & Jewelry. Within a 250- to 375-mile radius of Munich, the markets with the highest purchasing power in the lifestyle segment on the European continent are concentrated. You reach buyers who arrive with a completed order plan and finalize their assortments at TrendSet.

You represent several brands and need a platform where your entire portfolio is visible. In TrendSet’s concept-store logic, exhibitors can present themselves across multiple theme worlds — matching the assortment breadth of a sales agency. You consolidate your presence in Munich rather than traveling to different trade fairs for each brand individually.

You have handcrafted, fair-trade, sustainable, or regionally rooted products and are looking for market entry into the German retail trade. In the TrendSet Newcomer topic area, you appear on a curated stage with a manageable investment and high visibility. A springboard into the market, with the option to exhibit as a regular exhibitor at TrendSet in subsequent seasons.

TrendSet is one of the few interiors and lifestyle trade fairs with Fashion & Jewelry as its own theme world. In addition, the TrendSet Bijoutex topic area offers a specialized platform for costume jewelry, fashion, accessories, and beauty products — with immediate order options for many assortments. A sales format that is relatively rare in the lifestyle trade fair environment, and particularly attractive to buyers with short lead times.

The TrendSet success concept.

TrendSet is a trend platform and order platform in one. Across approximately 60,000 square meters in one of the most modern trade fair centers in the world, exhibitors and buyers find a diversity that is unique in this concentration: everything a modern lifestyle store needs, orderable in three days. With a clear trend lead for the upcoming season. Over 40 years of trade fair experience make TrendSet the established lifestyle order fair in Europe.

Variety: Everything a modern lifestyle store needs

The retail trade is undergoing fundamental change. The era of the pure specialist — only flowers, only stationery, only porcelain — is giving way to the curated assortment concept. Concept store, shop-in-shop, and living store are the growth models of brick-and-mortar retail in Europe. Already today, European retailers generate around 25 percent of their profits from activities beyond their classic core assortment.

TrendSet responds to this shift. Across 6 theme worlds and almost 40 product categories, buyers find everything under one roof: Home & Giving, Decoration & Handicrafts, Garden & Outdoor, Dining & Gourmet, Kids & Family, and Fashion & Jewelry. Exhibitors often cover multiple theme worlds with their assortment simultaneously. Vases come with table décor. Home textiles with scented candles. Gift items with stationery. For exhibitors, this means visibility across multiple buyer groups. For trade visitors, a walk-through that feels like a curated concept store, where assortments complement each other and new product ideas emerge.

The theme worlds are complemented by two topic areas: TrendSet Newcomer with start-ups and locals, and TrendSet Bijoutex with costume jewelry, fashion, and beauty — including immediate orders for many assortments. Two specialized platforms that further open up the TrendSet assortment.

Order: Three days of direct buying

TrendSet is set up consistently as a trend and order fair. Stand configurations, hall layout, and the visitor’s daily schedule are all geared toward actual ordering. Trade visitors arrive with a completed order plan; one to two decision-makers per company work through the fair in a structured and focused way.

In January, TrendSet is the opening event for spring and summer.

In July, the first and largest order fair for fall, winter, and Christmas in Germany — before the summer vacation season begins and order budgets are committed elsewhere.

Trend: Six months ahead of the season

TrendSet sets the trends for the industry six months before the season begins. The TrendSet trend concept brings together the colors, materials, and surfaces of the upcoming season that can be found across all theme worlds. Exhibitors gain confidence in building their assortments; trade visitors get clear navigation for their ordering. The trend lead is complemented by the TrendSet Journal, TRENDSET365 as a year-round online inspiration area, the TrendBlog, and TrendSet’s social media channels. Exhibitors benefit not only from the trade fair itself, but from year-round brand presence.

Location: One of the most modern trade fair centers in the world — with a top target audience

TrendSet takes place at Messe München, one of the most modern trade fair centers in the world. Approximately 60,000 square meters of exhibition space, clean architecture, short distances, and direct subway access via the U2.

Munich is the gateway to the DACH region, Northern Italy, and adjacent markets. Within a 250- to 375-mile radius of Munich, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Northern Italy are concentrated — the markets with the highest purchasing power and spending capacity in the lifestyle segment on the European continent. Add to this the high-growth markets of Eastern and Southeastern Europe, including the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Poland, and Croatia.

The top visitor countries at TrendSet map exactly this catchment area: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Benelux, Slovenia, and Poland. 78 percent of trade visitors come from the interiors and lifestyle retail trade.

No other trade fair location connects these markets as naturally as Munich.

Plus two topic areas for specialized markets.

In addition to the six theme worlds, TrendSet opens the doors to new markets and sales formats with two topic areas: TrendSet Newcomer and TrendSet Bijoutex. Both have their own assortments, their own clientele, and their own stage at the fair.

TrendSet Newcomer — the topic area for start-ups and locals

Small, innovative, and local companies present handcrafted, regional, fair-trade, and sustainable products. For many brands, the Newcomer is the first step into the German retail trade — a springboard into the market, with the option to exhibit as a regular exhibitor at TrendSet in subsequent seasons.

For buyers, a curated stage where real discoveries are made.

TrendSet Bijoutex — the topic area for costume jewelry, fashion, and beauty

National and international exhibitors showcase the latest trends in costume jewelry, fashion, accessories, and beauty products. Immediate orders are available for many assortments in the Bijoutex — a sales format that is relatively rare in the lifestyle trade fair environment, and particularly attractive to buyers with short lead times.

The Bijoutex complements the Fashion & Jewelry theme world with a dedicated platform and its own presence at the fair.

TrendSet365 – The Online Inspiration Area der TrendSet

TrendSet. The name says it all.

TrendSet is not just an order fair. It is the trend platform for interiors and lifestyle in Europe. Six months before the season begins, it sets the direction for the industry — with the TrendSet trend motif, the TrendSet Journal, the TrendBlog, and TRENDSET365 as a year-round online inspiration area. Anyone who exhibits or buys here is one step ahead of the season.

The TrendSet trend motif

Each season, TrendSet develops a trend motif that distills the key currents of the upcoming season. Colors, materials, and surfaces that can be found across all six theme worlds. For exhibitors, the trend motif is a guide for building their assortments and shaping their seasonal communications. For buyers, a clear navigation through the variety of the fair — and a selling point in their own retail.

For the fall and winter 2026/27 season, the trend motif is “The Luxury of Simplicity.” Value, quality, origin, aesthetics, and function are the defining factors of the season. Craftsmanship, soft shapes, muted colors, evocative designs. Alongside these, a line of bold statement prints and cool retro motifs, and a futuristic industrial-luxury aesthetic with a minimal design sensibility.

The TrendSet Journal

Three to four weeks before each fair, the TrendSet Journal goes out to trade visitors. Editorially curated product launches from all theme worlds, organized by current trends. Print to 20,000 qualified recipients in the German-speaking region, by email to 80,000 contacts. This means the Journal reaches around 100,000 trade visitors per season — before the fair has even begun.

For exhibitors, the Journal is one of TrendSet’s most powerful advertising tools. Anyone who appears here with a product launch is on the order plan of thousands of buyers before they set foot on the exhibition grounds.

The TrendSet TrendBlog and Social Media

Between trade fairs, TrendSet keeps the industry up to date. The TrendBlog regularly features trend previews, product highlights, and background articles on upcoming seasons. Over 18,000 trade visitors and industry decision-makers follow TrendSet on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. A reach that is unusually high for B2B lifestyle.

TRENDSET365 — Year-Round Online Inspiration Area

TRENDSET365 showcases exhibitors and their products 365 days a year. Over 50,000 page impressions per month, optimized for search engines and AI. Buyers discover brands here outside of fair dates and create shortlists for the next season. Exhibitors remain visible beyond the fair — with buyers, in search engines, and in the answers of AI assistants, which are increasingly handling the first research step for the retail trade.

Exhibitors benefit year-round

The trend motif, Journal, TrendBlog, social media, and TRENDSET365 form a connected ecosystem. Exhibitors benefit not only from the trade fair itself, but from year-round brand presence. Before every fair, during the fair, and in the months in between.
