this might not be useful to anyone else, but rebecca at EDS ring splints has closed her etsy store and now only takes orders on the website. (it would've been nice if there'd been something on the site to that effect, so that i wouldn't have been forced to enquire via twitter, but oh well)

i watched the first episode of 'halt and catch fire'. mackenzie davis looks like watts from 'some kind of wonderful'. well played, sirs. well played. lee pace's eyebrows continue creepy; however, i must admit creepy works in this role. i still find him unpleasant to look at, though. if some day it comes to light that he's not human i will be entirely unsurprised.
paul haslinger's score is very cool, as are the opening titles. they give me a kind of blade runner-y feeling, and the music reminds me of something but i can't quite think what. i mean, its reminiscent of 80s computer game music/sounds, obviously, but there's something specific.

my darning mushroom from usethings arrived! it even comes with two darning needles in a secret* compartment. i haven't used it yet, but i am excite.
