darn it
that is not an epithet; rather: a verb. i want to start darning all my lovely socks with the heels worn or wearing away. i've found beautiful darning eggs/mushrooms on etsy, but none of them are in australia. and since they are generally made of wood, i'm leery of buying one from overseas only to have it confiscated by customs. not that i've had any trouble before with my wooden jewellery, but still. i've found a second hand one on ebay in victoria but, well, it's ugly. and i'm shallow. i'd rather not buy something that i don't like just because it's the only thing i can find.
so do any of my australian friends know where i can get a darning egg/mushroom? surely there are local retailers or craftspeople who sell/make them. google is letting me down, though.
i would very much appreciate any help.
