Working Class Security
Read Stephen Semler on how the expansion of the US warfare state has produced insecurity for the working class.
Today we launch the final essay in Transition Security Project’s geopolitics series — “Working Class Security”, by Stephen Semler.
Stephen Semler is Co-Founder of the Security Policy Reform Institute. He works to align US policies with working-class interests and is author of the Polygraph newsletter on Substack. Stephen is also a fellow of Transition Security Project.
Stephen examines how the decision to prioritise the US warfare state over the security of the working class cost the Democrats at the 2024 election. Stephen makes the case for a security strategy grounded in the everyday lives of working class people.
