🔐 SSL Monitoring

Q: What does TrackSSL monitor?
A: TrackSSL monitors SSL certificates for expiration, configuration issues, and changes like when a certificate is renewed by automation.

Q: Does TrackSSL monitor my domain expiration?
A: We only monitor certificate expiration at this time, but we are considering support for domain name expiration. Let us know if this feature would be useful to you.

Q: How often are certificates checked?
A: All SSL certificates are checked approximately every 6 hours.

Q: Can I monitor internal certificates that are not publicly accessible?
A: Yes. You can deploy a private monitoring agent (Docker or Windows binary) to monitor internal certificates.

Q: What port does TrackSSL use to check certificates?
A: By default it will check port 443 but if you need to use another port simply append your hostname or IP address with :port. For example, ldap.mycompany.com:636.

Q: Will monitoring generate traffic to my domains?
A: Yes, but extremely minimal traffic. Typically less than 10 HTTP requests per day per domain. We only request the certificate and nothing more.

⚙️ Features and Configuration

Q: Can I get alerts via Slack or Teams instead of email?
A: Yes. Notifications can be sent to Slack, Microsoft Teams, or email. You can toggle each method on/off per preference. If you have other notification needs, you can use Webhooks to send to a no-code tool like Zapier for integration with other services.

Q: Can I disable email notifications?
A: Yes. Go to the Notifications settings and uncheck “Email Notifications Enabled.” Other notification channels will still be operational.

Q: Is it possible to bulk import domains?
A: Yes. You can paste a list of domains (one per line) from a file or CSV in order to import in bulk. Or, use the API to automate creation.

Q: Can I categorize domains or assign metadata?
A: Tagging support is under consideration, but not currently available in the UI or API.

👥 Users and Access Control

Q: Can multiple users manage the same account?
A: Not yet. Multi-user support is under development. Currently, one login per account.

Q: Can I add team members?
A: For now, you must share the single login or wait for multi-user support.

💳 Billing and Plans

Q: What are the available plans?
A: See the pricing page for our current plans. There are options from Starter to Enterprise but if you have custom requirements, please reach out to us.

Q: Can I pay annually instead of monthly?
A: Yes, and annual plans come with a discount! You can upgrade to annual from the Billing page in your account.

Q: Can I pay by invoice or PO instead of credit card?
A: Yes, for annual subscriptions you can pay by PO and invoice, just reach out to support and we can send you a quote.

Q: Do you offer custom plans?
A: Yes. Custom plans for high-volume monitoring are available upon request. Just let us know which plan features you need and how many certificates you need to monitor.

Q: Is there a free trial?

🛠 Troubleshooting

Q: I’m not receiving notification emails. Why?
A: Check your spam folder verify email configuration. Emails for expiration notices will come from [email protected] and emails for certificate changes will come from [email protected].

Q: My cert shows “Error” or “Unable to connect.” Why?
A: This may be due to network or firewall blocking. Ensure TrackSSL monitoring IPs are whitelisted (see whitelisting).

Q: Why does the TrackSSL agent show a 403 error?
A: Ensure environment variables are correctly set and your tokens (API key and Agent token) are properly set.
