the encode\decode was changed https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/55332, but there is no version checks or set in the encode\decode

I think we talked about this last week. The outcome was the versioning bases on features bits instead of the usual struct_v of ENCODE_START / DECODE_START macros while ceph-dencoder is pretty unaware about such particularity. If that's the case, the problem isn't severe.

@Nitzan Mordechai: is my understanding correct?

@radek correct, the ceph-dencoder doesn't get in that test a features bits, and that's the reason we are failing, I'll block the forward compatibility for the above squid versions
