I work with TotalCommander since Win95 - before with Norton Commander I was fully satified.
But when Norton released its first version for Windows, I had to find something new...better...
And so, what was then called "Windows Commander" – later, under pressure from Microsoft, renamed to the much more fitting name "Total Commander" – became for me the "only tool" under Windows.
Since then, the only thing I always carry on my memory stick attached to my keychain is "Total Commander" - anyone can ask me anything about Windows with it - with the appropriate plugins, I have access to everything under a unified interface.
Thanks to Christian Ghisler for this unique tool and all the years of maintenance and free updates since I licensed it in the early 90s!
The PROS list above is very short. It's the best file manager ever built. After you get used to it, you get things done very quicky and you'll miss it when you don't have it. Please, port it to mac! It's worth every penny.
