Connecting you with experts and funding to switch to alternative fuels.

The information and connections you’ll need to reduce costs & emissions with alternative fuels
Tennessee Clean Fuels is the home of the East and Middle-West Tennessee Clean Fuel Coalitions. We serve as fleet guides to navigate alternative fuels and advanced vehicle technologies in the 21st century. Both coalitions that make up TNCleanFuels are nonprofits, and designated participants in U.S. DOE’s Clean Cities Program.
TNCleanFuels has got decades of experience and the passion about our work to make good things happen for your fleet. No matter if you’re just beginning to explore the world of alternative fuels, or are ready to hit the accelerator, we’re here to help and happy to be your guide.
We are two nonprofits whose reach spans the Mississippi River to the Appalachian Mountains

WHAT OUR MEMBERS SAY ABOUT US…
“Jonathan and Daniel have been a tremendous help in providing current, in-depth knowledge of available alternative fuels and technologies as well as practical ideas and guidance for operational implementation for the City of Chattanooga as we look to begin incorporating these into our fleet.”
“This group’s philosophy of hard work, dedication, and commitment has provided Kingsport the resources, knowledge, and support that has helped us become a successful green fleet and the largest propane user in Tennessee.”
“Jonathan and his staff are hardworking and professional — and, they make work fun! They know the alternative fuels industry and the options that are available extremely well, and are excellent project managers.”
“With biodiesel, EVs, propane, and CNG, they’ve been there to help us better understand our options and guide us in the process. The clean fuel options in East Tennessee have grown over the years, and much of that is due to ETCleanFuels.”
“Jonathan has provided ideas, education and solutions that were in the best interests of the City of Knoxville, and held meetings that were value-added and provided networking opportunities. I never hesitate to call Jonathan and his team. They have always been available for questions, concerns and explanations that provided clarity to my issues. I truly appreciate his dedication to providing fleets and individuals with his experience and expertise.”

Both East and Middle-West Tennessee Clean Fuels have earned the Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, the world’s largest database of nonprofit organizations. The Platinum seal status is the leading symbol of nonprofit transparency and accountability.
GuideStar provides a Seal rating (Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum) on all 1.8 million IRS-registered nonprofit organizations. The goal is to provide as much information as they can so that a donor can make his or her own determination of where to donate money. The elements provided on each nonprofit can include: a) Verification of registration with the IRS; b) Financial data – Annual Revenue and Expenses, including IRS Forms 990 and independent audit reports; c) Mission Objectives; d) Impact Summary – from the nonprofit; and e) Individual reviews from those who’ve volunteered information on the nonprofit either directly through GuideStar or through the partner organization, GreatNonprofits. This information can then be used by both the nonprofit to encourage prospective donors, and, by donors to best determine who should get their money. Most information is available free online to website visitors.
