july activity: so close and yet so far away.

This month we had to make icons that captured scenes and characters so close and yet so far away. We could choose between any of three options or just make icons for all three options. For better explanations about the options check out our lovely icons below the cut. Comments are always welcome.

Option #1: the easy way
For the first option, we took the theme literally. Close crops and far-away/long-distance crops.

Option #2: the not-so-easy interpretative way
For the second option, we had to make close cropped icons with characters that conveyed emptiness, that is, the character should still seem far away. We could also icon two characters that were physically close but still seemed to have a lot of distance between them.

Option #3: the other way round
And for the last option, we just swapped things around a little: we used long-distance crops to make our subjects seem far away while showing them being close at the same time.
