MARYVILLE – An eight-win Maryville Scots football team saw eight of its student-athletes recognized for postseason honors by the USA South.

Harris was an All-USA South Second Team pick a year ago. This season, he finished second on the team in sacks with three for minus-31 yards, and he tied for second in tackles-for-loss with nine for minus-46 yards. The junior posted 19 tackles overall and was second in quarterback hurries with six. He broke up three passes and forced one fumble.

Rollins was a Second Team selection last year in addition to earning Offensive Rookie of the Year. In 2023, the sophomore broke Maryville's season and career passing yardage records, throwing for 2,801 this year to boost his two-year total to 5,356. In addition to passing yards, Rollins led the league with a 63.9 percent completion rate and he finished the season without throwing an interception over his last 158 pass attempts. Rollins was the team's rushing leader with 355 net yards. He accounted for a league-leading 33 total touchdowns – 13 rushing and 20 passing.

Russell was an All-Sportsmanship pick a season ago. This year, he led the USA South with 60 receptions and 712 yards, both figures placing him inside the Maryville all-time top 10. He had career highs with 14 catches for 182 yards at Brevard and added 10 catches for 137 yards at North Carolina Wesleyan. Russell also handled punt return duties and finished with a 4.2-yard average on 15 attempts.

Bethea had a career highlight when he picked off a pass in overtime and returned it 78 yards for a touchdown to cap Maryville's 20-7 victory against eventual champion Belhaven. The sophomore had a career-high five tackles in an early season win against Centre, and then he bettered that with six total stops in a Homecoming triumph against LaGrange. Bethea finished with four tackles-for-loss for minus-21 yards, and 1½ sacks for minus-12.

Bost is now a two-time Team Captain who this year finished second on the team in tackles with 50. He tied for second in tackles-for-loss with nine for minus-32 yards, and he contributed 2½ sacks for minus-13 yards to land fourth on the team in that category. The linebacker added four quarterback hurries and two pass breakups over his nine game played.

Sacks was a first-year Scot after transferring from Butler who made an immediate impact. The Scots averaged 422.9 yards of total offense, up from 406.8 a year ago. The sophomore started all 10 games.

White led the Scots in tackles with 67 after tying for the team lead a year ago with 56. His 12½ tackles-for-loss also topped the team and accounted for minus-30 yards in losses. The junior added two sacks for a combined minus-9 yards, and he had three pass breakups and one quarterback hurry. Posted a career-high 13 tackles in Maryville's 20-7 overtime victory against eventual league champion Belhaven.

Dunson finished third on the team in rushing with 243 net yards and two touchdowns. The senior gained a season-high 70 yards at Brevard and scored a touchdown, and he also scored a TD at Huntingdon. Injuries late in the season limited his play to eight games.
