CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian Blue Hose men's basketball head coach
Quinton Ferrell announces that
Rob Lane has been promoted to assistant coach. Lane has been the program's Director of Operations for the last two years.
"I'm excited to see Rob continue to impact our program from the assistant position just as he has the past two seasons as our director of basketball operations," Ferrell said. "Rob has earned this promotion with his hard work, dedication, and loyalty to our program."
Last season, Lane played an integral role in helping the Blue Hose earn the program's second postseason tournament bid in the Division I era as well as posting a road victory over SEC foe Vanderbilt. The Blue Hose finished tied for fifth place in the Big South which was tied for the highest Big South finish in school history.
Before joining Presbyterian's coaching staff before the 2022-23 season, he spent one season as an assistant coach at Sarah Lawrence College. Before Sarah Lawrence, he was a graduate assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Pittsburgh, from 2019-21.
"I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity that Coach Ferrell has given me to be an assistant coach at Presbyterian College," Lane said. "PC is a special place and I am excited to continue helping our student-athletes develop on and off the court."
