Meteorologist Grant Skinner here in the Weather Center. A brief shower is possible this evening and early tonight, but I think most everyone stays dry. It's gonna be associated with a weak cold front. The main thing I'm watching for is hot temperatures in the next week. Highs pushing into the 90s and little to no rain with high pressure in place for a good portion of the week. Here's Futurecast starting at 6 o'clock. Again, maybe a couple of showers, but most of us stay dry, just have a few extra clouds. And then by around midnight tonight, the showers wrap up. Again, any showers that do pop up wrap up. And then by the morning on Sunday, just some lingering cloud cover and then we'll clear up a bit during the day tomorrow, but we'll still have a mix of clouds and sunshine throughout the day. A 20% rain chance through 11 o'clock. Temperatures drop to the mid-60s. By tomorrow morning, we'll start in the 50s, so a bit of a mild start to the day to start your Sunday. So we're heading to, uh, early morning service or uh getting some breakfast. The morning, temperatures should be pretty comfortable, upper 50s, low 60s to start. And then we gradually warm into the 80s by the afternoon. Again, upper 70s, low 80s. Uh, we'll have a mix of clouds and sunshine throughout the day. More sunshine from around the 20 to 23 o'clock time period, but some more clouds build in later in the day. Again, the main thing I'm watching for is an upper level ridge to kind of slowly build over the area. It's going to bring the hot temperatures into next week. Again, middle and back portion of the week are gonna be quite hot. Up to 91 on Wednesday, 92 on Thursday, and likely stay in the 90s into the Friday and Saturday of next week as well, so just trending very, very warm. And with the dry conditions continuing, we have concerns for a wildfire risk and uh that ongoing drought's gonna be a concern into the next week and uh possibly into the week after as well, cause there's no big rain chances in sight. But temperatures gradually warm to the 60s into the coming weeks, so it'll be very mild in the overnights. Today though, the rest of today though, just a couple of brief showers, and there will be around 80 degrees on Sunday, gradually warming to the 90s by the middle of next week.
