Dr. Cedric Stewart

The Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) has announced that Dr. Cedric Stewart, an Assistant Principal at Hoffman Middle School in Aldine ISD, was inducted into the 2019 CPI Hall of Merit.  Dr. Stewart is one of 227 worldwide in 2019 to achieve Meritorious Instructor status as a Certified Instructor of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention for their extraordinary commitment. The prestigious honor has been awarded to only 539 CPI instructors worldwide and recognizes training excellence, a commitment to the training compress and advancing the philosophy of care, welfare, safety, and security  through Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.

Dr. Stewart is a passionate administrator with more than 27 years of experience in education. He has been a certified instructor since 2005 and is well-known for providing effective training throughout the Aldine ISD. 

The CPI  Hall of Merit selection process included a review of the records of over 32,000 active Certified Instructors of the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program.  Distinct criterion of organization-wide commitment, meaningful learning opportunities for staff, continuity and reinforcement, instructor development and established expertise associated with ongoing training and instructor development are evaluated by CPI every two years. Hall of Merit inductees are announced in conjunction with CPI Instructor Conferences.
