GREEN BAY, Wis. – Green Bay women's soccer and head coach Matt Kagan announced the hiring of Josh Davis as Assistant Coach on Monday afternoon.

"I am excited to welcome Josh to Green Bay!," said Kagan. "Josh is a tireless recruiter, knowledgeable coach, and most importantly a great person who our players are going to love being coached by. He is a perfect fit for Titletown!".

Davis was most recently the women's soccer head coach at Upper Iowa. The Peacocks tied for 8th in the 2024 GLVC (Great Lakes Valley Conference) regular season standings and came up just short of making the GLVC tournament.

"I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Matt for considering me for this incredible opportunity," Davis commented. "I am honored and humbled to work with such an exceptional coach and even better person. As I prepare to join the Green Bay community, I am eagerly looking forward to meeting the team, staff, and getting started on the field. This is an exciting time to be part of UWGB and the Phoenix women's soccer program."

Prior to his time at Upper Iowa, Davis was the women's soccer associate head coach at the University of North Dakota for the 2018 season. Davis also served as the head varsity girls' coach at Moscow High School in Idaho for two seasons (2019-2020). The program set records in goals, assists, points, and wins during his tenure. Under his leadership, Moscow had its most successful season since the start of the program in 1999, winning the district title and reaching the Idaho State Tournament for the first time since 2011.

Prior to his coaching career, Davis played two seasons at Victor Valley Junior College (2002-04) before transferring to Hope International University in California (2004).

Davis earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the California State University of Fullerton in 2009. He was awarded a Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University – Irvine in 2013.
