RSVP: 2021 AWS South Region Conference
Thank you for your interest in the Association of Women Surgeons 2021 South Region Conference organized by
the University of Mississippi School of Medicine AWS Chapter! The purpose of this conference is to provide professional and leadership development, as well as networking opportunities for medical students interested in surgical specialties. All are welcome to attend!
The theme this year is "The Surgeon’s Take on Fortitude, Resilience, Passion, and Connection." We have an outstanding group of speakers and panelists who will lend their perspective and insight.
The conference schedule is as follows:
12-12:30 p.m. : Introduction
Dr. Felicitas Koller, a transplant surgeon at the University of Mississippi Medical Center
12:30 - 1:50 p.m: Bystander Intervention Workshop
1:50-2:10 p.m.: Rapid-fire Q&A with residents
2:10-3 p.m.: Attending Panel - The surgeon scientist - entering research, developing research interests, and balancing research and a clinical practice
