The
Center for Educational Networks and Impacts (CENI) is working to advance high-quality teaching and learning opportunities in formal and informal preK-12 and higher education contexts and become a leader in STEM workforce development. Partner organizations include the Center for Educational Networks and Impacts at Virginia Tech, Science Museum of Western Virginia, Floyd County Public Schools, Radford City Public Schools, Pulaski County Public Schools, Giles County Public Schools, and Wonder Universe: A Children's Museum.
 
The Mason Educational Research Alliance of Northern Virginia (MERA) will focus on three strategic areas: Building Teacher and Leader Capacity, Education Community Well-Being, and Creating a New Narrative. Partner organizations include
George Mason University College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) and twenty Northern Virginia Region 4 public school divisions.

Research Grants on Reducing Inequality: “This program supports research to build, test, or increase understanding of programs, policies, or practices to reduce inequality in the academic, social, behavioral, or economic outcomes of young people ages 5-25 in the United States.”

Research Grants on Improving the Use of Research Evidence: “This program supports research on strategies focused on improving the use, usefulness, and impact of evidence in ways that benefit young people ages 5-25 in the United States.”

Please join us for the third installment of a three-part Youth Voice Series where we check in with awardees of NNERPP’s "Youth Voice 4 RPPs" Awards program from last year. In this installment, we will hear from members of the CIRCLE + Illinois Civics Hub about how their RPP has worked on elevating youth voice. Kei Kawashima-Ginsberg, Kelly Stechler-Siegel, and Mary Ellen Daneels will share how their RPP is working to enable young people in three school districts to lead a participatory budgeting process to plan and disburse grants to improve civic opportunities that benefit students within multiple schools and districts.
We hope to see you there!
NNERPP aims to develop and support RPPs in education in order to improve the connection between research, policy, and practice.
