The father of a Tennessee Titans player was killed in a home explosion Tuesday in North Carolina and another person was injured.

First responders were called to the home on Barber Loop in response to an explosion and collapse. The house, located on Lake Norman in Mooresville, belongs to Titans cornerback Caleb Farley.

A release from the Iredell County Fire Marshal's Office and Emergency Management reports Farley's father, 61-year-old Robert M. Farley, died in the blast.

Neighbors reportedly smelled gas and heard a loud explosion just after midnight.Authorities said one person exited the home with non-life threatening injuries as crews arrived on scene.

Local reports also said Caleb Farley was spotted at the scene Tuesday talking with authorities. Fire officials said he was not at home at the time of the blast.

The incident remains under investigation.

At Titans practice in Nashville Tuesday, players and coaches gathered in prayer for the Farley family. See the video below.
