As my readers know, my wife, Jan, passed away on May 3, after a 4.5 year battle with cancer.

Last Saturday we celebrated her life at our home church.

I’m taking a break from writing this week but wanted to give you a glimpse into my life.

Jan and I were married for almost 47 years. We knew each other for 51 years. We loved each other passionately.

She was the love and joy of my life.

For the readers of my Toby Baxter series, Jan shows up in two different ways. Toby’s mom’s name is Jan. But my Jan is reflected in Rainie, the love of Toby’s life.

We showed this video at Jan’s service. It was created by my sister-in-law, Diane.
