Permitting for the Timnath Reservoir.
The use of the reservoir property is available to properly permitted residents, future Timnath residents, Colorado anglers, and their guests. The property is owned by the New Cache La Poudre Reservoir Company and is leased by the Town of Timnath for recreational purposes. When submitting your permit applications online, you may choose to pick them up or have your passes mailed to you. If you selected for your permits to be “picked up,” allow for 2 business days after purchasing your pass before you pick up at 4800 Goodman St. during business hours: M – F; 8 am – 4 pm, if you selected the “mailed” option, expect up to 2 weeks before receiving your permits. Mail delays or other problem may occur. Please ensure that the mailing address on file is updated.

Registration Dates:
Motorized Boat Permits – March 2, 2026 – 9AM
Resident Shore Permits and Non-Motorized Permits – March 9, 2026 – 9AM
Resident eFoil – March 9, 2026 – 9AM
GMA and Colorado Angler Permits – March 16, 2026 – 9AM
Any person that resides within the current Town of Timnath Municipal boundaries. This includes property owners, renters, and business owner
Any person that resides within the current Town of Timnath Growth Management Area (GMA) - outside of Town of Timnath Municipal Boundaries. This includes property owners and renters.
Any non-Timnath resident or non-GMA resident that has a valid/current Colorado Parks & Wildlife Fishing License.
