Hello 👋

I’m TIA ROSS

technocrat | knowledge systems architect | AI-driven strategist

I build enterprise knowledge systems that make information findable, governable, and ready for whatever comes next, including AI.

With 25 years inside financial services, legal, and regulated enterprise environments, I specialize in the unglamorous but critical work that determines whether your knowledge infrastructure holds up under scale, compliance scrutiny, and organizational change. Information architecture. Taxonomy design. SharePoint and AEM platform development. Governance frameworks. The structural layer most organizations skip until something breaks.

I’m currently expanding into AI-enabled knowledge systems, specifically the retrieval-ready content structures, metadata design, and governance frameworks that make AI outputs trustworthy in high-stakes environments.

Available for full-time remote roles and select consulting engagements.

Let’s talk about how I can impact your team

What I Do

Enterprise knowledge systems fail for one reason more than any other: nobody built the foundation.

I build the foundation.

That means coming into environments where content is fragmented, redundant, unclear, ungoverned, or living in the wrong places, and turning it into well-written content within structured, navigable systems that people actually use. My work spans the full lifecycle, from initial architecture and platform development through governance design, contributor training, and long-term maintenance planning.

I work across SharePoint, Adobe Experience Manager, ServiceNow, Confluence, and Drupal. I design taxonomy and metadata frameworks from scratch. I build custom SharePoint solutions using JSON and JavaScript. I train the humans who have to live inside the systems I build. And I manage the projects that bring all of it across the finish line.

What makes my work different from most knowledge architects is where I’ve done it. Financial services. BigLaw. Government. Environments where the cost of getting it wrong isn’t just operational, it’s regulatory. That constraint makes you precise in ways that are hard to learn anywhere else.

📊 CORE CAPABILITIES

🏛️ Information Architecture & Knowledge Systems

Taxonomy and metadata design, content modeling, knowledge base architecture, findability optimization, governance frameworks, and lifecycle controls for enterprise and regulated environments.

🛠️ SharePoint & AEM Platform Development

End-to-end platform builds including site architecture, custom web part development via JavaScript and JSON scripting, UX design, content structure, and ongoing governance. Experienced in SharePoint Modern SPFx and Adobe Experience Manager Sites, Assets, and Guides.

📋 Content Governance & Lifecycle Management

Governance framework design, contributor standards, metadata compliance, retention schedules, content health analytics, and the training and change management that make adoption stick across distributed teams.

📌 Project & Program Management

Cross-functional project management for enterprise knowledge and content platform initiatives. Experienced managing concurrent projects with multiple stakeholder groups in regulated, compliance-driven environments.

🤖 AI-Enabled Knowledge Workflows

AI-assisted taxonomy development, content generation for structured knowledge environments, and governance frameworks designed for retrieval-augmented generation. Currently building toward AI knowledge systems architecture for regulated industries.

✍️ Technical Editing & Content Clarity

The ability to take convoluted, fragmented, or overly technical content and make it clear, accurate, and usable is a distinct skill most knowledge architects don’t have. I do. I’ve edited everything from legal documents and DOE publications to enterprise procurement documentation and compliance materials, applying plain language standards, accessibility requirements, and editorial precision to content that has to hold up under regulatory scrutiny. This capability is embedded in everything I build, not offered as a standalone service.

    ⚡ Workflow Automation

Low-code automation design using Power Automate, Airtable, and Zapier to streamline publishing workflows, approval routing, intake processes, and lifecycle management.

    🌟 SELECTED WORK

    MYGPS—Procurement Knowledge Platform

    Fidelity Investments
Inherited hundreds of unstructured Word documents with no clear path into the enterprise CMS. There was one additional complication: the last time I had worked in Adobe Experience Manager it was called CQ5, over 13 years earlier. The platform had fundamentally changed. I relearned it on the job while simultaneously building Procurement’s job aids platform from scratch, establishing the information architecture, governance framework, content standards, and contributor training program. Expanded the platform to include three new L1 topic areas through 2026. Currently serving as interim Program Manager for ongoing platform development.

Outcome: Reduced SME dependency, improved time-to-information by approximately 30%, and established a scalable publishing infrastructure that distributed teams can maintain independently.

    BU Requester—Procurement Self-Service Platform

    Fidelity Investments
Designed and built a SharePoint-based self-service platform consolidating approximately 400 procurement request processes into a unified, navigable experience. Owned the full build end-to-end including site architecture, custom web part development via JavaScript and JSON scripting, UX, taxonomy design, content structure, and governance framework.

Outcome: Platform in final stages before public launch. Designed to measurably reduce escalation-driven email traffic and improve requester self-service adoption across global procurement teams.

    75,000-File Migration

    Fidelity Investments
Led a regulated legacy content migration under a tight timeline with one significant complication: I had never used Power Automate before. Taught myself the platform on the spot, wrote the migration script from scratch, and executed the full migration. When an administrative overight required a complete redo, I ran the entire process a second time, maintaining metadata accuracy, compliance integrity, and lifecycle controls throughout both passes.

Outcome: Clean, governed content library with standardized metadata and retention schedules, eliminating duplication and improving content integrity across the procurement knowledge ecosystem. The migration also produced a reusable Power Automate framework now available for future lifecycle operations.

    Enterprise Knowledge System Prototype

Senior Capstone — University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee
Designed a functional enterprise knowledge system prototype integrating database logic, web architecture, and content modeling to demonstrate optimized process flows, interoperability, and lifecycle governance.

    About

I came up through 14 years at a major civil law firm managing hundreds of thousands of legal documents across 20 offices. I recovered corrupt files using digital forensics. I built knowledge systems for nonprofit organizations using whatever platform they had. I ran an independent consulting practice for 25 years serving enterprise, legal, and nonprofit clients. I built an editorial agency that supported 800+ manuscripts for the Big 5.

None of that was a straight line. But all of it pointed toward the same thing: I’m the person you bring in when information is a mess and you need someone who can build a system that lasts.

I’m based in Arlington, Texas. I work remotely. I’m available for full-time roles and select consulting engagements in enterprise knowledge architecture, AI-enabled content systems, and information governance.

I don’t wait for the training. I build the thing and learn what I need to learn to build it right.

For professional services clients, I apply that same approach to AI-enabled marketing and content operations—building scalable content pipelines, automating client intake workflows, and designing knowledge systems and client-facing wikis that turn complex information into self-service resources.
