So this month marks the 9th year anniversary of the day in June of 2003 when I stepped into a book store, picked up a copy of the first volume of Tokyo Mew Mew and fell in love with anime and manga for the very first time.

To honor that, I decided to dig a little deep to realize how darn old I actually am and how long I've actually been stuck in the anime world without realizing it.

So I decided to take a peek at what top anime/manga of today hadn't even been released yet. Here's a list of some famous manga/anime that were just being CREATED and their release dates to see if it makes you feel just as old:

☆ The first volume of Naruto was released in America that year; America just released volume 56.
☆ One Piece was only in the Skypiea arc.
☆ Inuyasha manga still had 5 years before it would finish.
☆ Tales of Symphonia video game was released in Japan that year.
☆ Skip Beat and Loveless were only a year old.
☆ Nodame Cantabile was only 2 years old; it lasted 9 years.
☆ Tokyo Mew Mew had just ended.

Well, we've come to the end of the year. Friendships have come and they've gone. But it's gonna be a whole new year and we're all still growing and changing and we'll continue to meet people along the way. So! To start the new year, how about we start finding new friends that we can connect with that maybe we didn't share anything in common with last year but perhaps we do now? So I beat Tales of Symphonia for the second time. So proud that I managed to do it because I had to leave since I don't have a Wii/Gamecube up there. Sadly, I didn't get the Zelos ending I wanted, mainly because it's the most difficult to get, and unless I really tried, it was gonna be hard as heck to get it. But I did manage to get the Sheena ending, which is totally fine with me. I love and adore Lloyd/Colette, but I ship Lloyd/Sheena a bit more now, just because it's so darn adorable.

Zelos is such a stud though. I love him even more now and I'm glad I didn't give in to my Kratos love and kill him off this time (although the cuteness of the Kratos+Lloyd story almost made me cave again). I had him dressed in his beach outfit, so the ending basically consisted of Zelos in a speedo and shades, which just brought coolness to a whole new level.

Now, if I manage to find the time, hopefully I can replay Tales of the Abyss when I get back up to VA. Which I'm leaving to tomorrow early in the morning.

Funny thing is that I'm not as sad as I used to be when I had to leave home. That's probably because everytime I've returned, it never feels as if I've left. So even if I leave and some things change a bit just as it already has, it'll still be home.

The downer is that I won't be coming back until December. It seems pointless to waste $600 to come back for a week for Thanksgiving just to spend another $600 to go back about three weeks later. So either I'll be staying at my house at school for the week or going with someone else. Who knows how that'll work.

So I'm seeing Dariam today for the last time. No idea what we're doing or how long it'll be, but for once, I'm not sad about it. Because when I come back, he'll still be my best friend like always and that won't ever change.

But yeah, I'll just end this with a message from Regal:

So, I decided in the here and now that I'd just start over and make a new start. I guess that's saying a lot more than I can actually do, because I doubt I'll wake up tomorrow with this same idea. I've done it before. But I decided to revive the livejournal-ness fun for myself, with a whole new account. Yes, arisadonna is still there, but I'll probably just use it for other stuff that doesn't exactly relate to the actual reality of things.

I've come to realize that I think an awful lot--way more than I thought I did. I've found myself -looking- for people to rant to. But you can't just rant to anyone at all, because one, not everyone cares. Even if they're willing to listen, you can kind of tell they're only listening because they don't want to be mean or anything. And I kind of hate having to force people to listen to me and my mess and then try to find something to say to make me feel better. I'm not good with giving people reassuring words either, so I try not to ask for it.

Two, well, I tend not to explain things clearly. I rant and rant just to get words off my chest, but they don't come out in a way that people can comprehend it. Sometimes I don't even comprehend my words. In a sense, the type of ranting I do is just to release it off my chest. Not to explain it or have it understood, just to get it out of me and relieve myself of all the crap that's in my head that's driving me insane.

So to get things off my chest--and not throw it on other people's--I figured I might as well just finally make use of livejournal. I've had my old account for some years now and I just used it for crap. So finally, I'll use a journal to write. Something I love to do yet get so lazy that I just stop and don't write again for weeks.

Who knows how often I'll update. I don't really care right now. It's not as though it matters. Whenever I just need to write, I'll come here and take a breath. I could definitely use one right about now.
