If I wrote "My Love Story," then @LoveTinaTurner would be at dead center of that story.

Anyone who knew me from 1983 on knew one thing for sure: I loved Tina Turner.

This is an amazing interview, and watching Tina get her groove on at 78 with @GayleKing is as inspiring as it has always been.

I always tell people that I've seen @LoveTinaTurner 65 times all over the world, but the truth is I've probably seen her more times than that.

I stopped counting at 65.

Because even I knew it seemed a bit much.

But I was never a creepy fan, and Tina always appreciated that.

When I would follow along on her European tours I was always afforded early entry & Tina always found a way to acknowledge me.

Indomitable. Honest. Uncompromising.

And funny as hell.

I'm going to address a couple points & then mute this comment thread.

If you don't think that @HillaryClinton or the people around her, many of whom were brilliant & socially conscious POC, didn't know of or understand the data you're referencing then you know nothing of HRC.

You certainly don't seem to recall the finer details of 2016 and, despite your claims to understand the particular pressures she was under, refuse to give those pressures their proper due.

In an election filled with fake news & populist hyperbole from the far right & left..

I totally disagree.

I've listened to @HillaryClinton speak passionately about race for three decades.

Race and racism were a central focus of her 2016 campaign.

She didn't speak about it just every once in awhile @amikegreen, she spoke about it every single day of the campaign.

In fact, race and criminal justice was the topic of her first policy paper for the campaign, which she presented in April 2015.
