The new ward 13 is roughly the equivalent of the current ward 15 (Eglinton-Lawrence), with the 401 to the north, Eglinton to the south, Bathurst to the east, and rail tracks to the west.

(Usually, longtime politicians endorse a successor at the same time they announce their retirement, but it would make sense that Colle wouldn't want to emphasize the intra-family shuffling.)

At this point, Bomshteyn is likely looking at at least three challengers, and will not be acclaimed.
