These readings come from an underwater weather sensor at the lighthouse.
Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse was built in 1875 and is still an active Beacon of Navigation. The lighthouse is one of twelve Maritime National Historic Landmarks after earning that designation in 1999.
Singer / Songwriter Cris Neish has created a musical tribute to the history, heart, and saltwater spirit of Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse.
His goal is to help preserve the light through music. A portion of the proceeds from music sales will go to help preserving the lighthouse.

If you take a morning tour, you can visit the museum after your tour. Or if you choose an afternoon tour, you can come early and visit the museum or wait until after your tour.
