WTF???

Last night was my best friend's going away party (she's off the Australia for 4 months) so we went into the city to hit some bars. It was just a girl's night; men stayed home. But at one bar, there was a large group of foreigners, and they came to join us. All okay - we like meeting new people, and most of our group knew enough English to get by.

But when we were about to leave to do kareoke, one of the men who I'd talked to for a bit asked if he could give me a kiss. I told him no; I'm married. He asked against and kind of put his face up to mine. Again, no. Then he BIT ME. On the ear!!! Really hard - I was bleeding.

We got out of there really quickly and I cleaned up my ear. The girls asked if I wanted to go home or to the hospital, but it was my last chance to hang out with bestfriend for a while and it didn't look too serious. I was also a bit drunk at this point, so I kind of waved it off as no big deal.

But today I'm sober and totally pissed off! What the hell??? Who does that??? And none of the men or women he was with reacted at all; it was like no big thing. I don't get out a lot, but have I been away from the bar scene for so long that biting people has become common?
