Dear Mom, It's Different This Time (or, Leverage is my rebound show)
I . . . I have a new show. And I know what you're going to say - honey, are you sure it's the right time for a new show? You just got out of a long relationship with a show that treated you bad! Maybe you should take some time for yourself before getting into another show. But no, mom, this show is different - this show treats me right! This show loves me for WHO I AM. This show and I are in love, and I know it's only been ten episodes, but I'm telling you - IT'S RIGHT THIS TIME. IT'S FOREVER. I've found my soulmate, and I know that I told you I found my soulmate the last three times, but this time it's for real. This time it's going to be different. Did I mention we're getting married on thursday?
I WANT TO WRAP MYSELF AROUND THIS SHOW AND NOT LET GO. IT FILLS MY HEART WITH JOY UP TO THE TOP OF MY HEART.
1) UNDERCOVER GAY. In episode TEN. Hardison! Your first impulse in a crisis is also my first impulse! When in doubt, GAY MAKEOUTS. Well, without the makeouts part, but this is an EXCELLENT start. You are TOTALLY with him. Like, "with him," with him. Seriously, this show gives me OTP undercover gay, I just . . . I just don't even know what to do.
2) OMG when Eliot had to defuse the bomb? And at first Alec was all scared and panicky and Eliot was all, LISTEN TO ME! calm, but then Alec saw that it was something within his area of expertise and HE got all calm and then Eliot's HAND was SHAKING when he went to pull the wires? Eliot's hands don't shake in the face of danger, you guys, those were the shaky hands of TRUE LOVE.
3) Also in the bomb scene, when Alec was all, "We have to reboot the system" and Eliot was all, "You mean I should kick it?" the look on Alec's face was 100% I-can't-believe-I-am-sleeping-with-you. He was just reminding himself that Eliot has many fine qualities that make up for him being so dumb. I LOVE THEM ALL CAPS.
4) and, and, and, another thing about Alec and Eliot? Is how Alec is a much better fighter than before, and this is CLEARLY because he and Eliot have been having sparring matches in which Eliot has been training him! So that he can defend himself! Because Eliot worries! Someone please write me hot Alec/Eliot porn where they're sparring and sweaty and Eliot's standing behind Alec (height difference hotness: Eliot's forehead falls between Alec's shoulderblades) and showing him how to extend his arm. Then they start grappling, and Alec fights dirty (like Eliot taught him) and they roll around on the floor and then there's that pause where they're breathing hard and it's quiet and then suddenly they're making out - but not fast and dirty and rough like the wrestling, gentle and soft like suddenly things have slowed down, and they're both crackling with energy and adrenaline beneath the skin but it's all held back, potential energy, and they just take it so slow, and then when Alec flips Eliot over and bites his shoulder and fucks him, that's slow too, slow and sweaty and dirty and it just lasts forever.
That is a story I would like to read.
5) a thing about this episode that isn't about how Hardison and Spencer are in love, even though it is hard to tear myself away: OMG PARKER. Parker Parker Parker, I love you, I love you so much, you wrote cheat-notes on your wrist for your group therapy session, you went undercover as a kleptomaniac, I love you.
6) At the end, when Parker jumped on and hugged Eliot and Alec in turn? And then the three of them walked off arm-in-arm for like a whole minute? YES PLEASE AND THANK YOU. I have discovered that I also have an OT3 on this show! Man, it's sort of like, if Nate and Sophie weren't there, this show would be perfect. Although Sophie is allowed to stay if she wants to have sex with Parker, I am all over that, ladies who share a zipline are totally hot.
7) I just want to throw myself into this episode and then roll around in it!
