Happy Little Trees: Painting Class

April 11, 10:30 am

Join Emma Kalff for a morning of coffee and painting at the Wright Opera House Community Room. Participants will follow along with a classic Bob Ross episode and create their own Bob Ross–style landscape painting.

WrightED - It's for the Birds

“It’s For the Birds” is part of the WrightED Lecture Series, an educational program designed to highlight the knowledge, curiosity, and expertise found within our community. This session explores the fascinating world of birds, offering insight into their behavior, habitats, and the important roles they play in our natural environment.

Song Sung Blue

Song Sung Blue, 2025, tells the true story of two ordinary people who form a Neil Diamond tribute act and unexpectedly find connection, purpose, and a second chance through music.

The SpongeBob Movie: Search For SquarePants

Survivor Made

Survivor Made (2026) offers a deeply human glimpse into the everyday lives of six survivors building safety and joy for themselves and their children. From growing small businesses in Los Angeles to organizing for change in Washington, D.C., each story reveals the resilience, creativity, and determination required to build a new future on their own terms and in community.

Scott Ibex Blues Duo with Danny Lane

Scott Ibex is an award-winning (Indie Acoustic Project 2023) musical artist originally from New York City. Five years ago he found his love, happiness, and family in the Czech Republic. He winters there performing at jazz festivals (Mandau Jazz Official Artist Selection 2023 and 2024), clubs, and, at city sponsored musical events. During the spring and summer season he returns home to the US to perform and tour.

Sinners

F1: The Movie

A Minecraft Movie (2025) transports audiences into the imaginative, block-built world of Minecraft, where creativity is the key to survival. When an unexpected threat emerges, a group of unlikely heroes must learn to craft, build, and work together to protect their world from destruction.

“In Bloom” Student Showcase

In Bloom: Aerial Circ-lesque (2026) is an adults-only evening of aerial performance, circus artistry, and burlesque-inspired spectacle presented by High Alpine Aerial.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) follows a young hobbit, Frodo Baggins, as he sets out on a perilous journey to destroy a powerful ring and prevent it from falling into the hands of darkness.

Fly, You Fools!

May 29-31 & June 1

Fly, You Fools! is a critically acclaimed physical comedy from the New York–based troupe Recent Cutbacks, making its UK and international stage debut through touring productions like this one. Presented locally by UpstART Theatre, the show delivers a fast-paced parody of epic fantasy storytelling.

About the Friends of The Wright Opera House

Recognizing the potential to preserve and restore arts and culture in Ouray County by purchasing the historic Wright Opera House, a group of volunteers came together in 2007 and formed the non-profit organization 'Friends of the Wright Opera House'. The vision that followed was nothing short of promoting artistic, cultural and educational opportunities for all by providing a centralized venue for performing arts organizations and by restoring the facility for another century of use.
