Title A different perspective
Pairing Jonghyun x Minho

Minho doesn’t like it.

He doesn’t like it when he sees Jonghyun playing with Key and joking around with him. Like best friends, or even something more. Key makes Jonghyun laugh, and he doesn’t like it.

He doesn’t like it when he sees Jonghyun caring for Taemin - not that he has a grudge against Taemin - he just wants Jonghyun to care for him too. He wonders why Jonghyun doesn’t care for him since he’s also Jonghyun’s dongsaeng, and he doesn’t like it.

He doesn’t like it when he sees Jonghyun looking at Onew with respect. He knows Jonghyun respects Onew, so does Minho, but he’d like Jonghyun to look at him with the same look of awe and admiration too. Even though Jonghyun likes to laugh and poke fun at Onew, he still looks up to Onew, and Minho doesn’t like it.

He doesn’t understand why he doesn’t like these little things, it’s not that he doesn’t like the SHINee members, and he doesn’t understand why Jonghyun can’t treat him like other members in a special way.

“You like him.” Jinki says as a matter-of-fact. “It’s sooo obvious that you’re jealous.” And he goes off to do who-knows-what, leaving a stunned Minho to ponder over what he just said.

“You should stop avoiding him.” Kibum says. “He’s always giving me a weird look when we’re together. Probably jealous.” And he rolls his eyes. “Go confess to him!” And Jonghyun decides he should because he trusts his best friend that way.

So it isn’t surprising that when Minho goes to the balcony, Jonghyun is also there.

Minho looks at Jonghyun and Jonghyun beckons him to go over. Minho slides the door close behind him and walks towards Jonghyun.

“Minho-ah, I have something to tell you.”

“Oh, I do too.”

“You first.”

“No, you.”

“Oh… Alright, since I’m the hyung after all.” Jonghyun gives in. “You see, I… Erm, I…”

-CRASH-

And two figures fall into the balcony.

“HYUNG!~ IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT FOR BEING SO CLUMSY! HE WAS ABOUT TO DO IT!” Kibum scolds a pouting Jinki.

They both look up and give Minho and Jonghyun embarrassed looks.

“Carry on. Sorry for interrupting.” Kibum gives a apologetic smile.

He shuffles out, dragging a remorseful Jinki, all the while nagging at him for being so clumsy and “when will he ever stop having the Onew condition.”

“The hyungs do care about us don’t they?” Minho says.

“Yeah, they sure do.”

“And… I think I know what you were about to say.” Minho says softly.

“Were you about to say the same thing I was going to say?” Jonghyun gives a excited look.

Minho laughs. “Well, if you were going to say what I was thinking you would, then yes.”

And somehow, they suddenly realize their confession. They look away, embarrassed and blushing.

"They did it!!!" A excited Kibum skips into the balcony and gives Jonghyun pats on his back.

Jonghyun punches him on the arm and gives him a big grin. Minho sees Jonghyun playing with Kibum, like best friends. Jonghyun is happy, and he likes it.

Taemin comes down the stairs rubbing his sleepy eyes. "What was all the noise about?"

"Oh nothing, go back to sleep." Jonghyun goes over to pat a yawning Taemin on his head.

Minho looks at Jonghyun being all caring and gentle towards Taemin, and he likes it.

"But I want to know!" Taemin whines.

"Tomorrow okay? I'll tell you." Jinki tries to pacify Taemin and Taemin does nod his head, allowing Jinki to escort him back to his room.

Minho sees Jonghyun look at Jinki with awe and respect for being able to pacify Taemin. Jonghyun respects his hyungs a lot, and he likes it.

Jonghyun looks at Minho, eyes filled with something special for Minho. Minho realizes that Jonghyun does treat him in a special way after all, and he likes it.

Pairing Jonghyun x Minho
Notes Inspired by Love Story - Taylor Swift

We were both young when I first saw you. I close my eyes and the flashback starts. I'm standing there on a balcony of summer air.

Jonghyun closes his eyes and thinks back to the time he first saw Minho. Minho walks into the room, and Jonghyun looks at him in awe. He'd heard about Minho, and he knew Minho was younger than him. But Minho towered over his short figure, and he had a matured look that made Jonghyun wonder if Minho was younger than himself. And somehow, he found himself attracted to this guy.

That you were Romeo you were throwing pebbles and my daddy said stay away from Juliet. And I was crying on the staircase begging you please don't go, and I said: Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone, I'll be waiting all there's left to do is run.

Jonghyun hears Minho talking. "Hyung, I really like Jonghyun hyung, please..." "No. Stay away from him. It's not right, you know it's not possible for you to be together."
Jonghyun feels tears falling and Minho comes out. "Don't go. Please."
"I..." Minho stammers and he's close to tears.
"I'll wait for you there. The place where we'll be alone." and Jonghyun leaves, heart full with hopes that Minho will meet him.

So I sneak out to the garden to see you. We keep quiet cause we're dead if they know. So close your eyes, escape this town for a little while.

Jonghyun sneaks out and waits for Minho. His heart is thudding nervously, and he wonders if Minho will appear.
He sees a tall figure appear and he breathes a sigh of relief. He came.
They walk quietly, to a place they both know. They're alone, they're free to do anything they want. Jonghyun closes his eyes and he feels Minho leaning in, a light, long kiss on his lips. And Jonghyun feels like he's escaped from reality.

Romeo save me, they try to tell me how to feel. This love is difficult, but it's real, don't be afraid we'll make it out of this mess.

Kibum is telling Jonghyun no, he can't do this. But Jonghyun doesn't care. He knows it's hard, that it's causing a lot of trouble, but he also knows that he truly loves Minho. He believes that one day, some day, he can make it out of this mess.

I got tired of waiting, wondering if you were ever coming around. My faith in you was fading.

Minho didn't come again. They've met a few times at their secret hideout, but after the Kibum's talk, Minho never appeared again. He senses that Minho is avoiding him, and there's nothing he can do. He walks slowly back to their home, tears streaking down his cheeks.

When I met you on the outskirts of town I said: Romeo save me I've been feeling so alone, I keep waiting for you but you never come. Is this in my head, I don't know what to think.

Jonghyun bumps into Minho.
"Why did you stop coming? You left me alone, waiting for you."

He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said: Marry me Juliet you'll never have to be alone. I love you and that's all I really know.

Minho pulls Jonghyun into a hug.
When he slowly releases, he looks at Jonghyun's tear-stained cheeks, heart aching a little, and he says "I've discussed with Jinki hyung. He finally agreed. He says it's okay, and he can't bear to see you sad. He doesn't like it when you've been so moody recently." Minho gives a small smile. "From now on, we can be together, you won't be alone. I love you Jonghyun."

"I love you too."

Cause we were both young when I first saw you

this pairing is really growing on me, so much that i'm gonna work on another fic of them soon.

Afterall

Notes Cos I didn't like my previous one and Onew deserves a better (although still not so good) fic.

Jinki is tired, he needs a break.

He's tired of being Onew, of plastering that fake smile on his face
He misses his family, he misses his friends.

He wants to get away from all this, and he goes to the rooftop.

He reaches the top and sees four silhouettes lying on the floor, and he knows who they are.
They look up when they hear footsteps and the moonlight shines on their faces - Taemin, Jonghyun, Minho, Kibum, - and they smile when they see Jinki.
Jinki smiles - a real one this time - back.

He decides he'd like to be Onew afterall, and takes his place beside Taemin.

When he looks up in the sky, he knows what they're looking at, without them telling him.
He sees 5 stars in a line, shining brightly with all their might.

He thinks of the members and decides that there's family and there's friends with him afterall.

And maybe he isn't so tired of this life afterall, and he'd still like to be SHINee forever.

Notes Dedicated to abstractthots and sugarcandy_x . Also to the people whom I told there would be a happy Onew fic. :D Not well written but i hope you'll still like it!

Onew likes performing. Singing and dancing.
Jinki likes photography.

He likes taking photographs.
Somehow, he seems to especially like taking photographs of Taemin.

"Taemin is cute, and his smile is beautiful." Jinki tells Jonghyun, while showing him the many photos he has of Taemin.
"Yeah, whatever." Jonghyun says.
But Jinki is too engrossed in the photos to notice Jonghyun's flippant attitude.

But one day everything changes.
Jinki forgets his love for photography, he forgets his love for Taemin.

Taemin is upset.
He wants his hyung back, he wants to pose for his hyung, he wants his hyung to take photographs for him.
He wants Jinki to love him.

-

"Umma, will Jinki hyung ever come back?"
"I don't know for sure," Kibum says while patting Taemin's head. "We'll just have to wait and see ne?"

Taemin nods and tries to prevent his tears from falling.
But they still fall anyway when Kibum walks away.

-

"Taemin-ah!" Jinki looks into Taemin's room.
Taemin's not there.
But he sees a camera on top of a notebook.

Something's nagging at him.
He goes in and sees a tofu keychain that he loves hanging on the camera.
"It's my camera." He thinks.

He picks up the camera, turns it on, and looks at the pictures.
Taemin, Taemin, Taemin, Taemin, more Taemin.

There's a sudden jolt in his memory and he feels like he remembers something.
He sees a folded page in the notebook.
The same thing - love? - is nagging at him to open it up.

On the page is recent pictures of Jinki, candid shots, all smiling.

And there's a sentence "Jinki hyung is cute, and his smile is beautiful."
The memories start rushing back to Jinki.

He looks up to the door and there is Taemin, staring at him.

"I- I'm sorry, I didn't mean to look at it." And he sees that Taemin's eyes aren't filled with anger, but hope maybe?

He's sorry for making Taemin suffer all this while. He goes over to hug Taemin. "Mianhae."

Taemin pulls back to smile at Jinki. "I missed you."

Jinki smiles back at him.

They both think "That's his nicest smile." and they don't need to take a photograph of it.
It's already in their minds forever.

okay, memory loss again. ._.
cos i felt so bad for Onew and I wanted a happy ending for my previous story.
the ending's bad cos i was kinda rushed. -.-

but hope you'll still like it! comments? :D
or maybe suggestions for a better ending? ._.

The Best Birthday Ever.

Summary Onew feels like it's the best birthday ever because he celebrated it with SHINee.
Notes first time posting cos i suddenly had the urge to write a fic and since it's dubu's birthday, i shall write a onew bday fic. :D
and this is actually my first fic. posted over at shinee_replay so i thought i'd post it back here too.

Onew wakes up and rubs his eyes.
he looks at his bedside clock and remember it's 14 dec.
Being the total kid he is, he gets out of bed excitedly and as usual knocks his knee on the bedside.

"Ow." Onew says while rubbing his knee.
but he's so used to it that he recovers soon enough and walks into the other 4 members of SHINee right outside the door.

"Happy Birthday Onew Hyung!" the four choruses.

Taemin hurriedly ushers Onew out of his room and says "Hyung, we have a surprise for you!"
he reaches into a bag and pulls out a angel tofu costume.
"Doesn't it look like you, Hyung?"

The rest of SHINee except Onew agrees.
Onew looks at it skeptically and laughs, thinking "I have cute dongsaengs don't I?"

"Since we can't go out, we're gonna celebrate your birthday here at home! ^^" Taemin says excitedly while Minho pats his back to calm him down.
"But before we do that, you have to change into this costume first!" Key tells Onew.

looking at Taemin staring at him innocently and eagerly for him to change into the costume, he decided he couldn't let the magnae down. (and secretly he also thinks the costume is really cute)
"Okay." he says and drags the costume into their room.

"Hmmm, I should go prepare my cake and dinner now. Jonghyun help me ne?" Key asks.
"Of course, anything for you." Jonghyun replies and walks into the kitchen with Key holding his arm.

"We should go see how Onew hyung his doing." Taemin says and drags Minho along with him to Onew's room.

"Hyung, are you ok?" Taemin asks worriedly and knocks on the door.
"Oof. Yeah, i'm fine. Just put my leg where i'm supposed to put my hand. I've figured it out already though." Onew says with a muffled voice.

"He still has the Onew sangtae even after he's a year older." Minho mumbles and shakes his head.

-in the kitchen-

Key is beating the eggs while Jonghyun wraps his arm around Key's waist.
"Yah, Jonghyun-ah, we're baking a cake. Help me prepare the cream ok?" Key tells Jonghyun and attempts to remove Jonghyun's arms from his waist.

"But you're the umma." Jonghyun whines. "And i don't know how to prepare the cream."

"Now now, you know I don't like it when you guys dun listen to me." Key stops beating the eggs.
"Fine." and Jonghyun attempts to give a sad face.

Key senses that Jonghyun is upset and turns around, then gives Jonghyun a kiss on his cheek.
"Now, happy? Turn that frown upside down!" Key says enthusiastically and forces a cute apron onto Jonghyun. "I'll teach you how to prepare it!"

Rejected to fate, he takes out the cream from the refrigerator and starts to whip it.

-meanwhile at OnHoMin side-

"Hyung!!! You look so cute!" Taemin squeals.
"How can he be as cute as you?" Minho says while looking at Taemin lovingly.
"Nonono." Taemin blushes and starts to wave his hand in front of him.

"YAH! Don't sweet-talk in front of me. Trying to make me jealous that i'm the only one without a partner?" Onew pretend sulks.

"Hyung, you know we all love you!" Taemin says with Minho nodding his head profusely at the side.

"Of course I know, just wanted to hear you say it." Onew smiles mischeviously. "So what have you prepared for me?"

"We compiled IPLE fan messages that wish you happy birthday. Some asked questions so you'll have to reply them." Minho says while opening the Word Document.
He gives a small knowing smile to Taemin cos actually the boys have prepared fake fan messages and wants Onew to answer them.
"You have to be honest! It's your birthday and you shouldn't lie." Minho makes up a random reason. "And the fans would want to know the truth!"

"Of course, I'm always honest to fans." Onew says.

The first message went:
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY ONEW OPPA!!! I've been wanting to ask you this for a long time, what kind of underpants do you wear?"

Onew stares at the message, fingers hovering over the keyboard.

"Errr, do I have to reply to all the messages?" Onew asks hesitantly.

"Of course! The fans wished you happy birthday! They would want a reply!" Taemin replies. "Honestly, remember!"

"I wear-" He starts typing. "underwear usually with polka dots."

Taemin and Minho starts sniggering quietly at behind Onew.

The second message said:
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY OPPA! Are you really in love with Key umma?"

"Whoa, Jonghyun hyung is gonna get really angry and kill you if he sees this." Minho says.
"But if you say you don't love Key umma the fan will be really disappointed because the happy family is spoilt." Taemin says.

"I... don't love Key umma." Onew decides he should tell the truth.

The third message read:
"SAENGIL CHUKHA HAMNIDA ONEW OPPA! SARANGHAEYO! I know it's a little rude but I'd like to know if you watch porn?"

"This fan is really direct." Onew blushes. "I-"

"HAHAHAHA!!" Onew turns around and sees Taemin and Minho hugging each other and laughing loudly.
"We lied to you hyung!" Taemin says in between gasps. "Those messages were made up by us!"
Onew's confused look turned into an angry look. (Though you can't really tell because Onew never succeeds to look angry.)

"I'm the leader-sshi and the hyung and you dare to bully me this way? You have no respect for your hyung at all!" Onew shouts at an attempt to be angry but Taemin and Minho just laughs even harder.

"You are so dead!" meanwhile, Key's shouts could be heard from the kitchen.
Jonghyun had just dabbed a bit of whipped cream on Key's face after whipping it.

Key then dips his finger into the cream bowl and wipes his finger across Jonghyun's nose.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Key laughs hysterically. "Payback time!"

Not knowing that Jonghyun had already put all 5 fingers into the cream bowl secretly, Key looked up only to be faced with 5 fingers full of cream right smack into his face.
Jonghyun sticks out his tongue and says "I WIN!"

Key glares at Jonghyun and turns away continuing to prepare the cake.
"Hey, dun be angry." Jonghyun nudges Key. "I didn't mean it."
Key ignores Jonghyun.

Jonghyun hugs Key from the back (Jonghyun loves backhugs) and nuzzles his face into Key's neck, making Key feel all ticklish.
Key tries to hold in his laughter but he can't take it anymore and bursts out with laughter. "I haven't forgiven you yet you know." Key says strictly.

"I'll help you prepare cake AND dinner ok?" Jonghyun tries to pacify Key.
"Ok." Key smiles and of course he agrees because he can never be angry with Jonghyun for long.

"Dinner is ready!" Jonghyun calls out to Taemin, Onew, and Minho. Key brings out the dishes.

Taemin grabs Minho's hand while walking to the dining table.
"Smells good." Taemin says. "Key umma always makes good dinner!"
"Hey, I helped too!" Jonghyun quips.

Onew stumbles into the kitchen clumsily, (because of the costume or it's just that he always like that, nobody knows.) and gets a shout from Taemin saying "HYUNG! WHY DON'T YOU WEAR THE TOFU HEAD?!"
"How do you expect me to wear the head? I can't see if I wear it." Onew replies.
"But you will look cuter with it." Taemin pouts.
"Later okay?" Onew is afraid to make the magnae sad.
"Yeah, we'll make Onew wear it later." Minho tells Taemin.
Taemin looks into Minho's eyes and knows he can trust Minho. "Okay!" He replies happily.

They settle down and eat dinner, surprisingly quite peacefully except for the occasional arguments over who the last piece of chicken belongs to.
But because it's Onew's birthday, most of the food goes to him.

Onew, being the last to finish, puts down his chopsticks and gives a satisfied "Ah."
"If you'll cook such yummy food on my birthday, I wish everday was my birthday." He says to Key.
"I already said I helped!" Jonghyun sulked.
"They know, don't get so angry." Key doesn't like Jonghyun to be upset. "Jonghyun helped me a lot."
"Yeahyeah, we know." The other 3 said.

"Maybe we should make Onew wear the Tofu head now." Minho says, and puts the Tofu head over Onew's head while signalling to their presents.
Jonghyun and Key rushes to take the presents while Taemin and Minho leads Onew to the living room to "Watch TV".

When Onew settles down on the sofa, the Tofu Head is removed and he sees a bundle of presents on the floor.
"Omo!" He exclaims and he can feel tears brimming at his eyes.

"WHOA, don't cry, you haven't even seen the presents!" Jonghyun says. "How about you open mine first?" and he hands over his present to Onew.
Onew tears open the wrapping and sees a CD, and on top of the CD writes "Happy Birthday Hyung, this is your birthday song."
"You wrote a song for me?" Onew's tears threaten to spill.
"Yup, wrote and sung by me." Jonghyun says proudly. "Hope you'll like it."
"Of course I will." and Onew proceeds to insert the CD into their CD player.

While Jonghyun's song plays in the background, Onew opens Key's present.

Key's present is a hoodie, with the words SHINee beautifully sewn at the bottom and a key at the side of the sleeve.
"It's really nice." Onew breathes.
"Of course. And I purposely sewed the Key there, so you'll remember i made it." Key says.
"Stop making me cry." Onew says with a tear already rolling down his cheek.

"Open mine, open mine!" Taemin bounces excitedly on the couch.
Onew opens Taemin's present to see a weird drawing of 5 people smiling happily together and he can tell it's SHINee immediately, not because it looks like them, but because the picture gives off the SHINee feeling.
"It's drawn... really well." Onew finally says.
He says that not because it looks good. He just likes the feeling he gets from the picture and decides it's a really beautiful picture and he's going to frame it up.

"Mine's not special really." Minho says and hands over his present.
Minho's present is two books.
The first book is "How to tell good jokes" and the second book is "How to be a less clumsy person".
"Figured you needed them." Minho said matter-of-factly.

Everybody laughs except for Minho. Honestly, that guy can be funny if he wants to.

"Okay, time for cake!" Key claps his hand happily and goes off to take the cake.

they sing the birthday song and Onew makes 3 wishes.
"I wish that SHINee will be together forever."
"I wish that everybody will be happy together."
"And the last wish for myself." and Onew makes his wish secretly.

With that, he blows out the candles.

And that's how Onew's birthday ends.
It's simple but Onew feels like it's the best birthday ever because he celebrated it with SHINee.

Just memories.

Title Just memories

Summary Key loses part of his memory.

Key's eyes flutter open and he sees four familiar faces staring back at him.

"Oh he's fine." Someone mutters.

"Of course I'm fine," Key thinks. "What's wrong?" he asks out loud.

"You got into an accident my dear." Onew tells him.

"Accident? And why are you calling me dear?" Key asks.

"Oh." Onew is taken aback. "You don't remember?"

"Remember what?"

"Nothing."

And Onew walks out of the room.
Key doesn't know that tears are already rolling down his cheeks.

Key looks at the other 3 expectantly, looking for answers.
His eyes land on Jonghyun's face and he wonders why he never noticed how good Jonghyun looked.

Key stares at Jonghyun and he sees that Jonghyun has a light blush on his cheeks before he hurriedly turns away.

"We should go out now and let Key hyung rest." Minho says.

The 3 members leave the room and leaves Key alone.

The next day, the four SHINee members enters the hospital room.

Key looks at Jonghyun and smiles.
Jonghyun looks back hesitantly at Onew, then turns around to smile at Key.

He walks towards Key and says "Are you feeling better?"
"Yeah, much better." Key says with a smile.
The two look into each other's eyes, not noticing Onew walking out of the room quietly.

Minho walks out of the room, with Taemin following behind.

"Hyung, are you ok?" Minho asks Onew.
Onew looks down at his feet. "Yeah I guess."
"What are you going to do about Jonghyun and Key?"
"I'll let Key decide. I just want him to be happy." Onew says with a wistful smile.

-

"Hyung, I'm really sorry for not telling you earlier." Jonghyun apologizes. "I didn't want to break you and Key up."
"I understand." Onew replies. "I respect Key's decision."
Jonghyun smiles. "Thanks for being so understanding, you're a great leader."

Great, but not good enough for Key.
Onew gives a smile back.

-

3 SHINee members stream into the hospital room.
"Where's Onew hyung?" Key asks.
"He says he's not feeling well." Taemin replies.

Jonghyun sits beside Key on his bed and gives him a peck on his forehead.
Key feels his cheeks burning but he still smiles at Jonghyun.

Their manager comes in and says "I've done the required paper work. You're leaving the hospital tomorrow. Rest well, because you have to continue your schedule tomorrow."

Key nods. "Ok hyung."

"Then we should leave Key to rest." Minho says while pulling Jonghyun and Taemin out of the room.
"Bye hyung!" Taemin waves.
"Bye." Jonghyun says and gives Key another peck.

Key looks at them leave the room and it's not long before he dozes off.

Onew is brushing his fringe away. Onew is leaning in. Onew kissed him. Onew smiles at him. Onew holds his hand. He's very happy.

Key wakes up and cries.

When he wipes away his last tear, he looks up to see four SHINee members coming in, all of them smiling, even Onew.

They start to help Key pack his things and Key stands up from his bed.
He's decided.

He walks towards the members, looks at Onew and Jonghyun.

He holds Jonghyun's hand and says "Let's go."

Onew's heart breaks but he still smiles. He has to.
Cos he's leader-sshi, he must be strong. He has to.

I've noticed that Onew is often the sad guy in the story.
I really dun wanna do this to him but i can't betray my OTP. T.T

still, hope you'll love it. :D
