I'm not a "hang Bible verses on the wall" kind of girl. But I'm about to make an exception.
I’m a messy, sideways, and generally well-meaning Catholic, but have never been a “hang Bible verses on the wall” kind of Christian. Maybe you are and that’s just fine - I’m all for people doing what makes them happy. It’s your wall, after all.
Yet I can’t think of once in my life I’ve posted a Bible verse on my wall or had a plaque on my desk or the like. You’re much more likely to see quotes from philosophers, Southern Folk Art, a Paul Klee print or two, or something I love from a Native American artisan.
Two original paintings hung in my Atlanta house for years that I had pulled out of a dumpster when a wellness center in a random strip mall closed its doors for good.
Oh - and then there’s Elvis art.
Lord knows I love me some art depicting the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
