Thank you imi for this weeks prompt.
“See yourself as a miracle, and you will become one.”
Day 3
10AM“Last evening, I was hungry & exhausted. I found this place “Sukoon 1964” & just walked in there, Wooden floors, wooden shelves & a cozy bed.
There was a smell, like home- that made me sleep.
& today was a beautiful morning, I’ve woke up to. People were singing, some were cooking. I walked down to hall.
Sun made it golden, ice are melting, tea is in making. I walked out to the open area to absorb everything. Right now I’m not feeling any pain but hunger.”
Pratik puts his diary aside & started looking what everyone’s doing. some were painting in sun, two boys with an old lady cooking inside, a couple making sittings for everyone. There was a peace in mountain, but here was a comfort.
Tea or coffee? A girl with a tray of cups
Tea. Pratik said.
There was a different kind of lively feeling in there, strangers doesn’t feel like one
I went back to my room and after working for some time, I slept. I think I heard knock at my door but I was too comfortably tired too open it.
Later in the evening, on tea everyone was playing a fun social games, there was laughs and screams all over.
There I met Jivin, the owner of “Sukoon 1964.” I told him how he & his stay unintentionally gave me a space and time I needed. He was sweet (I thought).
“It was never unintentional!! I knew you’ll be here some day” he replied.
I was a bit scared. He laughed & told me to turn around, where everyone was hanging out..
It’s strange how certain places make room for conversations we usually avoid.
The girl there, lost her single mother last month, the boy with paintbrush probably will return home in few days after shuting down his startup to handle his family business.
Covid made me loose everything, including my parents. I had no reason to live, except Life itself. I’m sure somewhere, of some intensity you faced something that bought you here.
The lively this place looks, the more deprived it is of the same.
I know few of those who’ve been here in past, some are running a media agency, some went to organic farming, few went back to their 9-5 & are happy, they visit here sometimes.
I’m not saying these place is a tonic for success or happiness, but just wanted to tell you that this worked with the conviction I had when I thought about Sukoon.
After a phase, I decided to make this world a better place, not as a cliche speech, but with a belief that it could be better, every person who find their way here, ends up emitting light to the world around them and so as a chain reaction.
If you think, a miracle happened with them, it was made to occur, through them because they believed in it & even after ‘logics’ if you somehow believe something to happen be it miracle, IT WILL.

This sounds like such a lovely place to rest!
Appreciate how you capture the importance of connection between people here. It is more than just a place to you. 🤗
