if you were my canvas

if you were my canvas

if you were my canvas
i would paint
sunsets in your hair
in hopes of awakening
to the promise
of your dawn

the geometry of you and me

Back in October I wrote The Theory of You and Me.

Now, that we are home schooling, it is the perfect time to cover……

the geometry of you and me

i long to discover the point
where your soul intersects with mine
to share an intimate tango
along the line romance dissects
bliss and melancholy
as I find myself lost
in the curves of your femininity
a beautiful world of simplicity
the geometry of you and me
it’s easy to comprehend
true love is a circle
it has a beginning
it knows no end……….

I chose this image because I melt for brunettes.
But then again, red heads drive me absolutely insane.
Oh, and blondes…….

Anyone noticing a pattern here?

love never ends at goodbye

love never ends at goodbye

her words linger
like a spirit
who doesn’t realize she’s dead
haunting my soul
hanging in my heart
like hardened stalactites
in a cavern of eternal sighs
where I am forever lost
dying a thousand slow deaths
when you fall for a poet
love never ends at goodbye

Regarding the image: Oh those stockings….. (Hey, hey, no funny comments. Superman has his kryptonite, I have mine).

Fragments of Me – (What Do You Want To Be?)

Fragments of Me

(What Do You Want To Be)

What do you want to be?

An unfair question to ask a six-year-old raised in an abusive home.

Many nights, the cracking of a belt on flesh preceded his mother’s cries. Squeezing a pillow around his head, he struggled to sleep.

When teachers complained about him sleeping in class, it triggered an unbreakable cycle of abuse.

When the violence came out from behind closed doors, there was no reason to fear monsters under the bed. Not when you lived with one.

What did he want to be?

One terrifying evening as he watched a fist strike his mother, that little boy decided what he didn’t want to be.

my favorite lingerie

my favorite lingerie

let me undress your inhibitions
laugh lines
mean you have lived and loved
forget your insecurities
I wouldn’t have you
any other way
I love you the way you are
your smile has always been
my favorite lingerie

where i revolve

where i revolve

like the moon and galaxy
who quietly anticipate the night
I patiently await the moment
that our hearts finally align
to explore the universe of your hair
to see my future in your eyes
as our souls unlock
every mystery unsolved

for I am a lonely satellite
in search of a shining star
and you will always be the light
where I revolve

Regarding the image: Pretty obvious why I selected this one for the poem, but those lips, that painted mouth…… SIGH

Enjoying Life

Enjoying LIfe

Hope everyone is doing well.

I have never been better. After these two health scares I experienced in the last year (heart/COVID) I have dedicated myself to enjoying life to the fullest.

I guess you can say I have been a vagabond to the second power.

This holiday weekend, I will explore Sarasota. Planning a little bathing in the beaches of Anna Marie Island. And of course, Siesta Key is on the agenda. Three out of the last five years, Siesta Key won awards for being the best beach in the United States.

In two weeks, my daughter comes down to visit. We have booked several stops along Florida’s gulf coast.

Three weeks after that, I return to my hut in the Dominican Republic for a three month vacation. So you see. The Beach Bum HAS changed his ways. Now, I drink less, beach more, and yes, chase skirts. Good habits never die.

Working very hard on my novels and screen plays. And as I said before…..never been happier

Oh, yes. still single. Doubtful I will change that. Have a safe and happy holiday weekend.

Love, blessing, and kisses to all. (Well, the kisses are for the ladies).

So, if you’re wondering how I am doing………….Don’t Worry Baby

Recovery and alligators.

Recovery and alligators

My positive Covid-19 test result was followed by phone calls from the labs, doctors, and even the Department of Health. I was asked to self isolate for ten days.

I can be a maniac about things, since I had nine cases of water (40 bottles each case) in my home and plenty of food, I went above and beyond the CDC recommentations and self isolated for 21 days.

Today, is the first day I have felt zero body ache, yes, the body ache and faitgue have lingered. I finally went out to see the world.

That is when I spotted my first Florida alligator (see video).

Hope you are all well.

I am traveling to the Dominican Republic week week (for a five week beach vacation). Not sure when I will be posting regularly again, perhaps I will start on Monday. We will see.

Take good care. Be safe.

And watch out for the gators.

Feeling better, but……

Feeling better, but

My fever finally came down to 98.6. The chills are gone.

The body ache and cough persist.

My test results just came back positive for COVID-19.

Beach Boy is staying isolated, drinking plenty of fluids, and taking good care of himself. Thankfully, I just stocked the fridge last week.

So my friends Ben & Jerry will accompany me.

Showing all the symptoms of Covid

Showing all the symptoms of Covid

Sorry, for the unexpected absence from blogworld.

Since Friday night I have been showing all the symptoms of Covid (fever, muscular pain, burning eyes, some shortness of breath, and severe chills). And they have become progessively worse.

Already canceled my two MD appointments for this week. Waiting to hear back from my doctors.

Not sure when I will return to blogging,

Stay safe. Be well.
