AWARD CRITERIA
The Learning Leader of the Year Award recognises an exceptional learning and development leader who has made a significant strategic contribution to both the learning function and the wider organisation.
This category celebrates leaders who have demonstrated vision, influence and measurable impact – elevating learning as a driver of organisational performance, transformation and long-term capability.
The award may be entered by nomination or self-submission.
What are the judges looking for?
Judges will be looking for clear evidence of strategic leadership, innovation and measurable organisational impact.
Attention will be given to:

- Their role in shaping and evolving the learning function
- Evidence of innovation or transformation under their leadership
- Endorsement from senior stakeholders and team members
- Tangible and sustained business outcomes
Entries should clearly demonstrate how the individual has acted as a strategic partner to the business – not simply as an operational manager of learning delivery.

You may wish to include:
- A concise overview of the leader’s role, responsibilities and organisational context
- The structure and evolution of the learning team under their leadership
- The strategic vision they have set for learning and how it has been executed

- Major challenges encountered and how these were addressed
- Measurable business impact and performance outcomes achieved over time
- Evidence of stakeholder and team endorsement
- The leader’s influence on culture, capability and organisational performance
- Lessons learned and defining milestones in their leadership journey
- The achievements that demonstrate why this individual represents excellence in learning leadership
All business impact claims should be supported by clear evidence.
