Misc update

Bug had his first wrestling tournamint. He got 4th place (out of 4). His first round he got hit in the nose- but kept going!
Round 2 he went over 2 minutes- 3 rounds- with a boy who went to State last year! go Bug!
Round 3 he scored his first point ever! He got a bronze metal. I'm so proud!

News of Rachel- Theresa just told me Rachel had her baby (!) No, I didn't know she was pregnant either. I guess she hid it until she was 7 months along. It's a boy! Charles (i think) Here's a pic: (on her myspace)

He was born Jan 30. And is already over 11 lbs! I love the cheeks!!!

While cleaning, I found out what drunk guys with OCD do with their beer cans. They do NOT just throw them away. They do not recycle them. They line them up, ALL 60 of them, in straigh rows, all the tabs facing the same way, grouped by brand, and exactly a finger width apart...

In the top drawer of the dresser.

My Brilliant Idea...

I have 3 cats. 2 are Maine coons, a breed known for it's love of water. These 8 month old kittens, Mew and Emily, needed a bath. I figured I give Nikki (the non- maine coon) a bath also, even though I knew she wouldn't like it. But I figured The kittens, they like water, they play in it! I washed Nikki first, got soaking wet, but it wasn't too bad. Next Emily, not declawed, but only 5 lbs, still not too bad. She tries to dog paddle. I guess she forgot she's feline. Mew is so laid back, he won't be a problem.

But Mew is 12 lbs.
and fluffy.
and STRONG!

and he does NOT like water.

I now have battle scars from a cat with only back claws. He also flooded the bathroom, and yowled bloody murder!

Now all the cats are drowned-rat looking, and rather pissed off.

Other than that, my life is boring. First day off in over a week! And next week back to boring...

It's Thanksgiving... you're *supposed* to cook! Or go to a household that can cook. Well, I'm supposed to bring chips and dip. Pretty easy, huh? I just started my microwave on fire. Martha Steward lies.

I was trying to "freshen" my kitchen sponge like Martha says. "Just microwave a damp sponge for about a minute to kill any bacteria. Or, you can run it thru the dishwasher"

I shoulda tried the dishwasher.

BTW The other night we were getting ready for bed, and I asked him for my slippers. He pulled out my big turtle ones, and I said I wanted my penguin ones. He pulled them out and said, "What the hell are these? Sock mittens? Slippers are supposed to be big and fluffy! Not bit of fabric with linoleum on the bottoms!"

Had to go to the dentist today. Did I mention I hate going? haven't been in almost 6 years. I originally went cause my wisdom teeth are getting bad. But first they need to get my cavities filled (4 done today) THEN they need to do some evil sounding procedure call "planing and scaling" that will take care of an infection I didn't even know I had.
But today they told me they cannot do my wisdom teeth. They are too far impacted (DUH!) so I will have to go to an oral surgeon. GREAT! they better knock me out for Days to get me in there.

meanwhile, the one cavity was so deep, they shot me up 6 times before I stopped feeling. now I'm just drooling....

I have the easiest,most brain numbing job in the world. I clean at a resort. I've been doing this for SIX YEARS! So I think I know how to do my job. Imagine my surprise when I got yelled at for putting dishes away WRONG.

WRONG?!? - They were in the cabinets (which are LABELED so everyone can put things away right!) So what was wrong?

I put the bowls on TOP of the plates. Instead of BEHIND the plates.
I also did NOT put the utensil drawer back right.

I just "left" the utensils in the draw, instead of arranging them "correctly"
This is the first I've heard of a correct way to arrange utensil drawers!
Judi is going through menopause. Why do I have to suffer with her?

In other news,Jonathan the Rabbit died on saturday. No real surprise, since he was 7 yrs old, and had a massive infection.
Fizgig the hamster also died. Causes unknown. He was less than a year old. Not too sad, since he was "The Evil Hamster" that has never been held by humans. He was rather mean.

It's cold, and the leaves are changing. There are bees in the basement, and my obnoxious neighbor upstairs is moving out. So I can't do laundry. Sigh.
Overall, today is a 4.

I have... kittens. Cute, fuzzy, playful, annoying kittens. I've decided i don't really like *owning* kittens. I'll let someone else raise them, and I'll take them when they're mellow and de-clawed! OUCH! They're kinda like babies- really cute, as long as they're not YOURS!

Their names are Emily and Mew. Mew is Danny's. He's a grey and white lazy eating machine. Emily is mine. She's a calico, sassy daredevil that is driving me to distraction!
They're 8 week old farm cats of indeterminable parentage.

But they ARE cute.

Yesterday at work, aside from ALL the screw-ups, I had the Old Lady Bitches from Hell! I get done cleaning their room, which they had already been waiting for. They pull up, and the lady looks at me, and says "DID you CHANGE the sheets?"
ME(exhausted, and swaeting after speed cleaning): "yeah, of course!"
Lady: "Are you SURE?"
Me: "Ma'am, I have the old dirty sheet here if you'd like to inspect them!"
Lady: "I'm just making sure, I've had the worst day..... (keeps talking about how bad her day was)"
Me: "Ma'am, I've been here cleaning since 8 am, and I want to go home. your room is waiting"
Lady: "Well, I'VE benn up since 5 am (blah blah blah)"
Me: "your room is ready, have a good day (slightly sarcasticly)"

what I should have said: "Well Ma'am, I've been putting up with assholes like YOU all day long!!!"

Today, I was talking to one of our customers, who was *very* good looking, and had a polish accent. The wives had anwered the door, and said they didn't need any room service, just towels. Then he came over, and asked if we did dishes.
me: "nope, sorry, guess you'll have to do them yourself"
Guy: (jokingly)"I don't do dishes, that's women's work!"
Me: "This is America! Guys do dihes here!!"
Guy "That is why I married a Polish girl. She does the dishes for me!"
Me: "Well, you should at least buy her a dishwasher!"
Guy: "That is what she said also, so I did. Only we can't afford the water or electricity for it, so she still washes. But at least she has the washer!"

Definition of "Ironic" Winning an awesome gift basket of food- when you're on an elimination diet.

Definition of "Pointless" Washing windows and patio furniture...in the rain. (I really don't get my boss some days)

Children are a good excuse to call in sick...
Bug is semi-sick today. He threw up last night, and is running a fever, so i get to stay home and nap. Unfortunately, he does NOT want to nap. Apparently, he feels just fine--- NOW!

So I am at home, trying not to do anything productive. Succeeding so far...

I went to pick up Bug at school today. I stopped by Becky's car to chat, standing maybe 50 ft from my parked, turned off, key-out-of-the-ignition car. As we were talking, suddenly a horn started honking, like a car alarm. Realized it was my car. walked over, opened the door, reached in, and it stopped. "what the...?" Becky asked if I had a car alarm. No, but that was weird!

Then it happened again. I ran over, touched the steering wheel, and it stopped.
Remeber, it's after school, and the parking lot is FULL of waiting parents...

I stand up, start to close the door, and it goes off AGAIN! But this time moving the steering wheel doesn't work. Horn still going off, I am frantically trying to figure out how to pull the fuse. I now have full 3/4 of the parking lot either staring, or walking over.

Finally, I find the fuse. Try to pull it. Doesn't budge. I grap my keys, wedge the damn @^%$& thing out.
Stand up, trying to look unfazed.

Turn to see the parents waiting, laughing. I hold up the fuse, and everyone laughs. Sheepishly toss it back in the car, and practically run inside.....

Don't know what's wrong, but the fuse is only for the horn, so it's staying out for now!

Smokee died at 4:45 pm today. I took her to the vet, and she died in my arms. She had an aneuysm in her lungs, and her kidney's were starting to fail. The vet said it probably had nothing to do with Snuggles cancer, just something to do with old age. She turned 16 this week. Snuggles is still stubbornly hanging on, but I don't think she last much longer. Then they'll be together.

New Diet-- UGH!

Now, the wonderful people who Know All have decided bug is allergic to something. So we must go on a "Hypoallergetic Diet". Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking food allergies- I'm allergic to milk! But They think his behavior will improve if we can figure out what he is allergic to. So, we are eleminating:
*Dairy
*Eggs
*Wheat
*Corn
*Cirus
*Nightshades (potatos, tomatos, peppers, eggplant, ect)
*Coffee, tea, alcohol
*Sweeteners (except honey, maple and barley syrup)
*Any and all food additives

But, we can have rice! and peanut butter! and even found a form of jam! And something that passes for bread! so we're set with bug's fav foods. Still working on a hypo-pizza....

Wish me luck! I can't have chocolate or soda, so there goes most of my lunch.
