This is one of those wardrobe staples you can wear year-round. Layer it under a sweater during fall, as an oversized cover-up during the summer, and of course as a standalone top for daily wear.

You specifically wanted white shirts that aren’t see-through and don’t get crazy wrinkled. Here are the top suggestions from my audience…

1. I have and love this button-down from Chico’s, and love how it doesn’t need to be ironed after washing. So many of you agree!

2. I wasn’t familiar with Buck Mason, but their top came in with lots of recommendations for their lightweight option.

3. Several of you also love your AYR button-downs. This option comes in many colors and offers a nice, oversized fit.

4. I don’t think a roundup of button-downs would be complete without Ralph Lauren. You suggested getting the men’s style and sizing up if you prefer a more oversized fit. (If you are extra petite, try the boy’s section to get a similar style at a cheaper price.)

5. Madewell makes a lot of my wardrobe staples, and I can’t believe I don’t own a button-down from them yet! My friend swears by this for its comfort and reasonable price point.

6. Another new-to-me brand, Classic Six, makes incredibly high-quality pieces that are meant to be wardrobe workhorses that can be styled in many ways. The chic tailoring and detailing make this a statement staple.

7. Tuckernuck has its own line, which is highly recommended as well. The drop shoulders give it a relaxed vibe.

8. This Gap option came with many votes. Make sure to size up!

9. Uniqlo was the winner for our Best White T-Shirt roundup, and I can see why their button-down also made the list. It’s also the most affordable at $40!
