“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Most of us would say we’re open to Jesus, but real life is just crowded.
Our days get packed with working, consuming, worrying, rushing, comparing, scrolling, and talking about people more than we talk to God. It’s easy to believe in Jesus from a distance and still never really know Him.
This season we’re slowing down to change that.
“Traveling Light” is a journey through the life of Jesus in the Gospels. Each week, we’ll look at a moment with Jesus - what He said and did with real people - and then practice trusting His way instead of our usual way.
We will:
- Quote Jesus and sit with His words.
- Tell stories about Jesus.
- Give something up each week based on what Jesus’ life shows us (could be a habit, distraction, or comfort) to create space for prayer, spiritual hunger, and personal discipline.
So that by Good Friday and Easter, you don’t just know about Jesus - you actually care about Him.

Jump into our Reading Guide and journey with us as we practice trusting His way instead of our usual way.
