RWJBH is implementing a security initiative called Two Factor Authentication (2FA) to protect our network from hacking when accessing RWJBH from outside our network. Remote users are required to download an app that generates randomized numbers. When signing on remotely the randomized number is required along with your login and password. This applies to all physicians, office staff, clinical staff, management, employees and vendors that access any of our systems remotely.

Why do we need Two Factor Authentication (2FA)?
- Decrease risk of data breaches and meets data privacy requirements by adding a layer to the authentication processes.
- Strengthens login verification for users remoting in to RWJBH network from public environments such as coffee shops, airports or any other establishments with vulnerable Wi-Fi /network.
- To protects against phishing, social engineering and password brute-force attacks and secures your logins from attackers exploiting weak or stolen credentials.
