The Marines

The mods have decided to open up a post for suggestions on possible future bounties. We've discovered there is always so much going on that it's easy for us to overlook certain characters that may warrant a bounty, so this post is a place for you, the players of mallowmateys, to nominate characters you think deserve a wanted poster! This post will always be at the top of the_marines's journal.

Please comment to this post with your nomination (one per comment, please, though you may leave multiple comments), explaining why you think the character in question deserves a bounty (providing links is highly encouraged!). All comments will be screened to keep possible future bounties a surprise. A nomination does not necessarily mean a bounty will be issued, but we will review each nomination we receive, and multiple nominations for the same character will of course give them a greater likelihood of becoming wanted in the near future...

Also, please bear in mind, these need not all be serious bounties! The tone of the game isn't completely serious, so feel free to nominate characters for silly bounties as well (like Fujiko's "indecent exposure" charge, for example)!

Because we would prefer characters gain infamy through the impact their actions have on the game at large, self-nominations are discouraged.

"Little Dipper" Toris Lorinaitis AKA Lithuania is wanted for charges of trespassing and swimming in an area where it was clearly designated as forbidden, upsetting a delicate government environmental experiment. He was caught on security Den Den Mushi and clearly identified at the time of the crime. He does not appear to be dangerous, so use of lethal force is discouraged unless circumstances demand it. Lorinaitis appears to be in the company of a small crew; at this time there is limited information available about his comrades.


"Smoking Bomb" Gokudera Hayato is wanted under charges of extreme fish theft, extortion, endangerment, and suspected piracy. Multiple reports have come from vessels in the surrounding area of the Grand Line that Gokudera depleted their food stores. He is believed to be linked to the "Sweet Death" crew, suspected pirates. He should be be considered armed and dangerous and has been known to use explosives; exercise caution in apprehending.

Michiko "Nutcracker" Malandro is wanted under charges of robbery, attempted hijacking, piracy, and the brutal assault of several Marines. She is also suspected on charges of kidnapping, as she has been witnessed together with an unidentified small girl. She is a member of "Straw Hat" Luffy's pirate crew. Malandro is to be considered armed and dangerous; exercise caution in apprehending.

One more order of business!

Last year, we did a Marshmallow Mateys Secret Santa exchange. The holidays are already starting to creep up, so the mods thought we'd see if there was much interest in doing an exchange again this year. SO. If you would like to participate in an MM SS exchange this year, please comment here and let us know. (Please note, this is NOT a sign-up, just a preliminary informal poll to gauge interest!)

THE GRAND ALL HALLOW'S EVE GALA



Welcome to Heimta! The island of Heimta itself is a dark, dank and relatively creepy island covered in thick forestation, steaming swamps and foggy marshes. In the center of the island, if you can manage to get yourself there, lies our mysterious host's castle, where the grand party will be held.

Now there will be obstacles in the way of all those who dare venture to the island in hopes of catching this party. What they are we are leaving to the players brave enough to try to conquer them. We only ask that you keep things in the Halloween spirit: Ghosts, walking skeletons, zombies...what have you.

Ivan "Red Menace" Braginski AKA Russia is wanted under charges of piracy, hijacking, and general creepiness. It is believed he commands a small crew of between 5-10, though exact numbers are uncertain. He should be be considered armed and dangerous, as he has been witnessed carrying around an unidentified blunt weapon. Exercise caution in apprehending.


An update to the previous bounty announcement:
Thanks to the tireless work of the Marines and World Government agents, the illegal/experimental produce being distributed within the Grand Line by Fujiko "Ms. Mountains" Mine has been confiscated and is en route to a government facility for further study. "Ms. Mountains" Mine herself escaped apprehension, however, and remains at large.

There has been an update to the bounty for "All That Glitters" Mello in light of recent events. "All That Glitters" Mello and known accomplice "Right Hand Man" Matt are wanted on charges of theft of highly classified Marine information, as well as several counts of assault and petty theft and larceny. Once again, the exact number of his comrades and underlings is not known, but should be considered to number between 10 and 50. He is to be considered armed and dangerous.

Normally these kinds of petty thieves would not be recognized by the Marines; however, the degree of skill and complexity executed in his thievery indicates a possible danger to other secure items. He should be considered dangerous and not alone. Comrades are thought to number anywhere between 10 and 50 and may include "Freestyle Cruisers" Killua and Gon as well as some former World Government officials.
