Terms of Use for Textures

You are free to use the resources on Texturelabs.org for almost anything. The only restrictions are fairly simple, and state that you may not re-distribute or sell the materials in their original form or as part of a design template. Specifically, the resources cannot be used to create texture packs, clip art, a texture website, sold as stock images or as part of a Photoshop template, or included as textures for a stock 3D model.

In other words, you're free to use these textures for any purpose, including commercial work. However, it's essential to understand that Texturelabs is dedicated to serving as a valuable resource for the creative community. These terms primarily exist to ensure that the resources are not repurposed for selling within the same creative community.

You are not required to credit Texturelabs in your work (but a shout-out is always appreciated).

Allowed Usage
Texturelabs resources can be used:
  • In commercial broadcast video, including film, television, motion graphics, and special effects applications.
  • To create YouTube and other online videos, as long as the video is not offered as a template or stock footage product.
  • To create physical end products offered for sale, including in-store display materials and product packaging.
  • To create published projects, including books, magazines, pamphlets, posters, flyers, and brochures.
  • To create video game scenes, menus, or levels, as long as the end product for sale is the video game, and not a template used to create other video games.
  • To create print, outdoor, and digital advertising.
  • To create t-shirts and apparel, including those intended for sale, as long as the textures are an integrated part of the design.
Restricted Usage
Texturelabs resources cannot:
  • Be sub-licensed, resold, shared, transferred, or otherwise redistributed (even for free).
  • Be distributed in any way as a competing product, such as a texture pack, design tutorial, material, shader, stock image, or stock photo.
  • Be used in the creation of templates, extensions, or supplementary resources for design software, including but not limited to Photoshop templates, After Effects extensions, or add-ons for other design software bundles.
  • Constitute the entirety of a product, and must be incorporated into another product such as a film, advertisement, poster, website, or video game.
  • Be distributed or sold as part of a 3D model in a way that allows a third party to use, download, extract or access the Texturelabs asset.
  • Be bundled with a 3D or graphics program, tool, app, or 3D engine.
Ownership of Resources

Texturelabs retains full ownership and all intellectual property rights to the resources provided on this website. By using these resources, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to use them in accordance with the terms specified herein. This license does not transfer ownership or any intellectual property rights to you. You are prohibited from claiming ownership of, reselling, redistributing, or sublicensing the resources in any form.

AI Image Generation

The resources provided by Texturelabs.org are not permitted to be used for training or assisting AI image generation models or algorithms. This restriction includes but is not limited to using our textures as part of datasets, training materials, or any other applications aimed at developing AI-generated images.

Terms of Use for Tutorials

The tutorials on Texturelabs.org are made available for users to follow and learn from. You are welcome to use the artwork you have produced from the tutorials in your personal and commercial work.

REPRODUCTION

Tutorials may not be translated or reproduced without permission.

CREATING TEMPLATES AND PRODUCTS

I ask that you please not take the information in the tutorials and use it to create similar templates or design products for sale. For example, please do not view a tutorial on a particular design technique, then turn that technique into a Photoshop Action to be sold on another platform. This practice is extrememely detrimental to the Texturelabs project.

Terms of Use for Tools and Plugins

Texturelabs Tools (including templates, plugins, brushes, and other resources in the Tools section) can be used to create effects and artwork for your personal and commercial projects.

CREATING STOCK IMAGES

The Tools may be used to create stock images, provided that the final products are delivered as flattened artwork where individual elements from the Tool cannot be extracted. The end user should not have access to any underlying resources or components that make up the Tool itself.

CREATING FONTS

The Tools may be used to create fonts or other finished vector or raster artwork. However, the end product must be flattened and not include individual resources from the Tool.

CREATING TEMPLATES, PLUGINS, OR OTHER DESIGN PRODUCTS

The Tools may not be used to create templates, plugins, actions, or other resources intended for further design use by other artists or designers.

OWNERSHIP

Users retain full ownership of all rights to the artwork they create using the Tools. However, the underlying code, methods, and techniques contained within each Tool remain the property of [Your Company/Your Name]. Users are granted a license to use the Tool for creating final artwork but may not reverse engineer, extract, or distribute any component of the Tool itself.
