Sophomore release by Tempête Solaire in the form of a DEP (double EP). La précession des équinoxes depicts a progressive shift in the direction in which the stars are seen from their debut Heliospheric Dialogues.

On side A (tracks 1 to 5), the trio further explores their eclectic new brand of songwriting, blending walls of sound, microtonal textures, shifting rhythms and odd time signatures together into one cosmic exploration of free jazz.

On side B (tracks 6 to 8) , a raw avant-garde improvisational voyage through syncopation, experimental electronics, musique concrete and the dark ambient realms of the universe.

Album launch at P'tit Ours, Dec 30th 2025.

That this man is not a national treasure is one of life's mysteries that will ever elude me. For the uninitiated, this is a nice overview of his work in the past 15 years. If you are anything like me, this taster will send you down a rabbit hole...which in my case results in an effort to obtain everything he has ever recorded. I am disappointed to report that such an ambition is nearly impossible. The back catalog is overwhelmingly huge. But it sure is fun trying to get it all..... end 0)))
