Integration Setup Guide
Follow these steps to connect your Telycam PTZ camera with Brainstorm’s InfinitySet and prepare for smooth virtual-production.
Device Setup
Connect the PTZ camera, controller, network switch, and Brainstorm system to a PoE switch using Ethernet cables, ensuring all devices are on the same network.
Then, link the PTZ camera to Brainstorm via SDI for high-quality video transmission.
Coordinate Measurement
Use an L-shaped laser tool to form a 90° reference angle and place a square object within it.
Measure the X, Y, Z coordinates of both the object and the PTZ camera base in meters — these values will define spatial alignment in the virtual environment.
IP and Video Configuration
Find the camera’s IP address (via WebUI or Wireshark) and confirm it’s within the same subnet as Brainstorm.
In InfinitySet, select the video input source, set resolution and frame rate, and choose the tracking protocol (FreeD, RADAMEC, etc.) as required.
Camera Preset Setup
In InfinitySet, create a new PTZ camera preset.
Define Video Input and Tracking System under Setup > Video Input.
Input real object dimensions under GUI > Object > Scale XYZ for size calibration.
Add the PTZ’s IP source and UDP port under Tracking Data > InPort.
Adjust Lens Center, Zoom, and Focus so the crosshair stays locked on the reference point across zoom ranges.
Enter the PTZ’s XYZ coordinates and ensure the virtual box aligns with the real-world object.
Tracking Verification and Fine-Tuning
Activate the tracking system and test pan, tilt, and zoom movements.
Confirm the virtual frame follows the real object precisely.
If movement or delay mismatches occur, fine-tune the tracking delay in software or adjust data intervals in WebUI until real and virtual motion sync perfectly.
