Perfection

Yesterday was a perfect day, one of those days where everything just comes together in exactly the way you want it to.

As with pretty much every day it started off with work, which was very very productive. I was able to present on my designs that I'm working on and so far everything is being well received. There is more to be closed on but it looks like everything is trending in the right way, which is nice for a change. I'm not being overworked, schedule isn't bashing my head against the wall and the people I work with have been nothing short of awesome.

After work it was off to crossfit with Xanie, and it was awesome to go with him again. He is great to work out with cause he pushes himself so goddamn hard and the effort he puts out is almost infectious. Both of us managed to PR our front squats at 185 and 175 respectively. I feel that I could have gone with 195 as I was so close to getting up but I felt my form held me back. I felt my core breaking down and I didn't want to risk tweaking my back for the sake of getting it up. Next time. I rocked the workout, prescribed, even though my snatch form was awful at the weight I was doing. It's hard to really get your form dialed in when you are doing reps for time. I'm gonna have to start practicing it more often.

Then, soon after arriving home I was pounced by a wuff. The sudden switch of being a badass and lifting weights over my head to having my muzzle pushed down into the floor and squealing to the point that made Xanie have to turn the TV up to drown me out was absolute bliss. Dire had drawn me a bath, complete with salts and scents but sadly I couldn't spend too long in there. It was very relaxing especially post workout. The wags from that "encounter" continue into today.

To wrap things up we went over to see Trigg and Gary, who had so graciously made chili for everyone. Gary is such a good cook that I always enjoy anything he can come up with. The company and conversations that we had were the best way to end the evening.

Now today is a new day, and I'm full of wags just counting down the days until the 31st.
