I don't know what to do about RP right now. I haven't been active at all in either of my games, and I'm not feeling any urge to be aside from knowing that I should be. I don't like character sitting, and feel like I should drop. But I don't want to because I feel like I'd be letting everyone down.

It's not just RP that I've been feeling apathetic about. A lot of the things that interest me just haven't been able to hold my attention at all lately. I find it takes me HOURS to watch a 20 minute episode of an anime that I love. I spend 5 minutes doing one thing, then move onto the next. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

I've spent most of my free time lately just staring blankly at the computer screen or at the wall, or sleeping. Not really doing anything. Not that it's constantly the case. But I find after I do my normal routine stuff, I don't have any interest in doing anything else, even when there's things I want to do. I just... don't do them.

Bleh. I don't know what to do.

It's sad that when I went to type "apathy" into the tag section, it was autofilled. :\

A Case of the Mondays

1. I hate my fridge because it keeps trying to be a freezer.

2. The new meds I got for my chronic pain are ACTUALLY WORKING without side effects unlike the others I've tried. They start to wear off while I'm at work, but I took some tylenol today halfway through my shift, and managed to extend the effects of the meds longer. They don't completely get rid of the pain, but they do make it bearable so that I can work semi-comfortably.

3. PLEASE comment here with images you'd like an icon made out of. I need to practice for vgames_lims, so that I don't get disqualified in the next round. :<

4. Today was one of those days when I hate my job. I had some 90 year old man tell me he was naked. And I had some cranky old woman grumpily answering questions about her alcoholic brother who is like 90 years old and sits around smoking and drinking all day and he never bathes and urgh. However, I also talked to this 60 year old woman who has ulcerative colitis and I just wanted to reach through the phone and give her a hug. :<

5. I feel like RPing again, which is a good thing. But I've only got one character. And no other characters are saying "PLAY ME!!! YES ME!!" so, I feel limited in my RPage. Owell. Maybe something will click soon.

I've entered vgames_lims and while my first week's submission wasn't horrible it was a) rushed and done at the last minute and b) was made when I'm horribly out of practice. But, I didn't get eliminated. \o/

The only icons I've made in the past year, aside from last week's submission, have been simple crop & color adjust, or text icons. So, I need practice. Especially with video game art, but any image will do as long as it's either anime, manga, or cgi - since those all fit in with the styles of art I'd be using for the LIMS.

PLEASE. Give me an image (or two) and I will make you an icon(s).

The Sky Crawlers (No spoilers given, btw)

So, the CGI in the movie was awesome. It looked so real. But at the same time it drew my attention to the fact that it was CGI, because the rest of the movie aside from the planes/battle sequences were standard anime-style animation. Is that redundant? Whatever. Speaking of battle sequences, they were boring. I've never been more bored by a battle sequence in my life.

The story was decent, though it seemed to drag on forever. I managed to figure out the big plot twist like 5 minutes in which probably added to the slowness. Because I just kept waiting for it to be revealed in the movie.

The characters were so emotionless and drab. Pretty much everyone wore brown except for some high class hookers. They got to wear colors or black. I don't know. I get that their drabness and emotionlessness were the point of what they were, but bleeeeeh. It didn't make for much of an interesting movie.

That being said, it was worth seeing the once, because it made some good points about humanity and life. I just wish it hadn't been so boring as it made those points.

And with that, I go to bed so I can get up and spend time with the BFF in the morning/early afternoon before having to pick up my brother and go babysit for the other BFF so she can go to art class. ♥

It's hot as hell outside

I know it's cooler here than it is elsewhere in the world, but man, this heat is killing me. Mostly because it's so humid, as well.

Went to see the specialist today who kept tossing around the word fibromyalgia, though that's not a diagnosis yet (afaik). All in all it went fairly well. I got a new medicine (that upon further investigation) will not only help with my chronic pain, but also with my migraines, depression, anxiety and sleeping problems. Though I think largely my sleeping problems are due to the pain and not being able to get comfortable. Of course, I don't get to start taking it until bedtime.

After leaving the doctor's my brother and I stopped by the video store that's on our way to and from work (and pretty much everywhere else we go) and opened an account. We rented The Sky Crawlers, Repo! The Genetic Opera, and Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. I am looking forward to watching them.

ETA: Oh yes, meant to link Harry Potter the Musical. Which I'm mostly only linking because it came out of my hometown.

Had a blast this afternoon/evening out with lokojo7 and ravenpan. Today was the last day of Restaurant Week in Ann Arbor, where many area restaurants put out a special $25 per person menu to get people to come try somewhere new and possibly gain new customers who will return at another time. We went to the Melting Pot and got a 3 course meal (cheese appetizer, a sampler of meats for the main course and a chocolate fondue for dessert) for $25. Anyone who has been to the Melting Pot before knows this is a really good deal since appetizers normally start at $20. The food was delicious and we had a lot of fun.

While waiting for them to open we went to the Vault of Midnight - a local comic book store that I love. They had a bunch of the Kingdom Hearts play arts of Sora, Halloweentown Sora, Cloud and Sephiroth. I wanted them so much, but alas, I don't have expendable cash like that right now. I also saw this probably 2 and a half foot tall Cloud figurine for $400. I wanted it, but I don't think I will ever have that kind of money to spend on a doll. XD

Spent the evening with them at another friend's house watching episodes of Merlin, then watching Literal Video Versions of various music videos including Total eclipse of the Heart, Take On Me and I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For.

All in all a great day. So why is it I am feeling depressed right now? As I was laying here trying to fall asleep, I got lost in thought about how my interest in RP seems to have disappeared. Well, it's there, but I just can't get into it even though I want to. The fact that I'm having these RP problems is bad enough, but I feel like I am letting people down by being on hiatus so long. Especially those people I've put a lot into with character relationships and all that. Which is probably exacerbating the issue. I'm worried about letting them down even more by RPing a little then flaking out again and I don't know. It's just frustrating and I don't know what to do to fix it.

Ahahahahaha so, I had set out to make a Peony layout, and I wound up with Axel. I was looking through my old layouts to open one as a template, and noticed this one, which I had given up on and never finished.

So I finished it. And after lots of editing and frustration I got it to where I was happy. \o/

~~Still need to edit the user info, because it's HORRIBLY out of date. But that can wait until tomorrow. My head hurts from all the coding tonight. @_@~~ Edited the user info, but didn't change the style of it. Will do that some other time. Maybe. XD

ADUJHEWUIYD CAR/BROTHER PROBLEMS

I am so ready to kill my brother. Figuratively, not literally. I really don't want to face hard time over a truck.

In the 6 (almost 7) months since he started driving it, my truck has gone from running smoothly though noisily to being impossible to drive. Unless you want to go 25 miles per hour, with the chance of stalling out at any moment while being jerked back and forth. It is physically painful to drive the truck.

In the past month there's been a leak in the power steering - which we've fixed through using power steering fluid with stop leak. It's burning through the oil super fast (probably due to the fact that it hasn't been getting oil changes every 3,000 miles because that comes up ridiculously frequently). It's just going to hell in a handbasket. While this was likely to happen anyway, I'm POSITIVE that if I were the only one driving it, it would have been at least another year or two before this happened.

Some stats:
Mileage on car when bought summer of 02 - 35,000
Mileage October 08 - 85,000
Mileage now - 106,400

I don't understand how so many miles have been put on it. It's not like my brother has driven anywhere distant. Since he started driving, my truck has only seen Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti and Belleville, with a few small sidetrips to the Detroit area.

In the SIX YEARS I drove the truck I made the following trips (all values estimated to the best of my memory):
- countless trips to Detroit and back (60 miles roundtrip each time)
- 8 trips to Marquette, MI and back (~500 miles each way)
- 2 trips from Marquette, MI to Green Bay, WI and back (~300 miles each way)
- 1 trip from Marquette, MI to Beloit, WI to Chicago to Ann Arbor, MI to Marquette (~1200 miles total)
- 6 trips to Chicago from Ann Arbor and back. (~300 miles each way)
- 6 trips to Toledo, OH and back (~100 miles roundtrip)
- 4 trips to Cleveland, OH and back (~400 miles roundtrip)
- 4 or 5 trips to Toronto, ON Canada and back (~300 miles each way)
- 1 trip to Baltimore, MD and back (~1400miles roundtrip)
- One year of driving delivery for Jimmy John's around Ann Arbor
- Plenty of driving around Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti and some driving around town when I lived in Marquette.

I JUST DON'T GET IT. I DROVE ALL OVER THE FUCKING PLACE AND IT TOOK ME 6 YEARS TO PUT ON TWICE WHAT MY BROTHER HAS IN 6 MONTHS.

I just don't know what to do. We need a vehicle to get to and from work. Hopefully my stepdad can get this back in working order and quickly.
