Good Friday. Don't we always wonder why it is called GOOD when it's the day Jesus was crucified? In ancient times, the word "good" had a deeper meaning, such as "holy" or "pious". Similar to the Bible being called 'the Good Book'. Later, it marks the ultimate sacrifice that brought redemption and salvation to believers. How blessed are we that Jesus made that sacrifice for us!!
My church will hold our Good Friday service at 7:00 pm. It is emotional, beautiful, and quiet.
There isn't much to 'focus' on. It's been a relatively normal, not busy week for me. The morning walks with my neighbor friends are a great way to get my day started. I am so blessed with sweet friends living on both sides of me, and across the street from me.
I was asked if I saw the launch of Artemis II on Wednesday. No, I didn't even go out to try to see it. We are so far from the coast here. We can see a launch now and then, but they all look the same, and I don't get excited about them anymore. By the time we can see them here, they don't look much different from a jet airplane's contrail. My neighbor's daughter got a good photo from her house, so it was visible.
I did go out to see if I could catch the "pink moon", but sadly, it was too cloudy. I turned around and snapped a photo of the sunset, which was prettier than the moon from behind the clouds. The moon photo is first, looking east, followed by the sunset, looking west.
