Terms of

Services

By commissioning, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read everything carefully before applying.Standard Commissions are 'As-Is' per approved design.Contract-based work allows for ongoing iterative feedback.(Last updated: June 2026 - Structural optimization and cleanup)

  • Commissions are accepted only through the Google Form on Twitter or BlueSky during official opening periods.

  • The Rigger reserves the right to decline or discontinue a project at any stage if the content, theme, or behavior makes them uncomfortable (e.g., explicit, religious, ideologically sensitive themes, or any form of harassment). The Rigger is not obligated to provide detailed reasoning beyond stating discomfort.

  • Any form of harassment, pressure, or public confrontation regarding a commission whether accepted or declined will result in an immediate ban from all future projects.

  • Clients are expected to provide complete, final, and accurate materials (PSD, references, emote sheets). Any missing details or uncommunicated specifications in the initial submission are not guaranteed to be implemented, and rigging decisions will be made based on the Rigger’s interpretation.

  • The rigger is not responsible for issues arising from incomplete or unclear references that were not properly provided during the briefing stage.

  • Due to storage limitations and rapid software & methodologies updates, the Rigger is only obligated to archive the project runtime and source files for up to 3 years after project completion.

  • The artist/illustrator is welcome to monitor the rigging phase to maintain artistic intent. However, excessive back-and-forth modifications that cause workflow delays are highly discouraged. (Check the FAQ for more details).

  • Clients are commissioning the Rigger for their specific, established rigging style and optimization layout. The Rigger retains full creative control over the workflow, and will not replicate other riggers' technical setups or expression styles.

  • The Rigger's workflow strictly focuses on technical rigging, physics stability, and software optimization; subjective aesthetic directions (proportions, visual appeal) remain the responsibility of the artist/client.

  • Clients may not request prioritization over ongoing projects or impose structural requirements outside the mutually agreed-upon workflow.

  • The Rigger is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including platform violations or copyright strikes) arising from the client’s use of the delivered model assets.

  • Any unauthorized use of the assets, copyright strikes, or platform violations (e.g., Twitch/YouTube TOS violations) resulting from the client's activities are strictly the client’s own responsibility.

  • Official commission communications, updates, and feedback rounds are handled strictly via Private DMs.

  • Once your form is accepted, we will contact you if more information is needed.

  • For inquiries, message Tea_con directly.

  • Please reply promptly. Inactivity may delay or suspend your project.

  • PSD preparation involves cleaning, organizing, and standardizing your file for rigging readiness (proper layer naming, grouping, and layer structures).

  • Artwork must face forward, with centered placement, and symmetrical facial features. Symmetry and clean cutting are strictly required for proper model optimization.

  • PSD resolutions must be reasonable; extremely large canvas sizes or overly high-resolution parts do not improve rigging quality and will negatively impact tracking performance (Check the FAQ for more details).

  • All submitted PSD files must be final. We no longer accept major PSD preparation work if the artwork is significantly altered by the client later on (minor hotfixes are acceptable).

  • Since many illustrators are unfamiliar with Live2D technical requirements, a preparation phase by our trusted internal team may be required, and additional repair fees will apply if the PSD is not rigging-ready.

  • If a part appears nearly symmetrical but contains unintentional unevenness or messy drawing, the client agrees that the Rigger may correct it to perfect symmetry without altering the intentional design or colors.

  • The client must legally own the submitted PSD. The Rigger is not responsible for any copyright disputes or issues arising from third-party assets.

  • Client must ensure the model’s design is final before submission.

  • Slots are confirmed after your PSD passes the preparation check.

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins, with the remaining 50% balance to be paid in full before the final runtime files are delivered.

  • The final price may change or incur extra charges depending on the design complexity, asymmetry, and additional requests (such as complex toggles, extra outfits, hats, armor, or companions).

  • Each rigging package covers one (1) primary clothing layer (starting from the innermost outfit). Additional layers, including topless requests or secondary outfits, will incur extra fees.

  • Accepted payment: Wise, PayPal, local bank transfer (Indonesia only), or USDT (on-chain).

  • Payments via PayPal will be subject to a 10% rate adjustment due to transaction fees and currency conversion differences.

  • A $50 privacy fee applies if you prefer the project to remain private/off-stream.

  • Each project includes 2 major and 2 minor revision rounds during the production phase (after prototype delivery).

  • Major revisions include asset shape, physics structure, or expression adjustments.

  • Minor revisions include asset position fixes or VTube Studio parameter adjustments.

  • Revisions are processed strictly by round, not per item. Clients must compile all notes at once and submit them within 3 days of prototype delivery; otherwise, that phase is considered approved.

  • Revision requests must be submitted with supporting screenshots or screen recordings to ensure accurate interpretation.

  • Design changes or PSD edits are not considered rigging revisions; these adjustments must be settled during the PSD preparation phase.

  • Repetitive, purely aesthetic, or major corrections exceeding the allocated rounds will incur separate fees or may be declined.

  • Revisions and client feedback response times will extend the final turnaround time.

  • Free bug fixes and technical adjustments are strictly available only within 30 days after final delivery. Beyond this 30-day window, the project is considered closed.

  • The Rigger’s workflow prioritizes movement quality, core range, and physical stability over an excessive number of toggles to maintain high model performance.

  • Toggles, extra outfits, or large arm switches increase rigging difficulty exponentially; the Rigger reserves the right to simplify or decline requests if the complexity is deemed unreasonable.

  • Extra hairstyles or outfits must share the exact same base pose; otherwise, they will be treated and billed as separate rigs.

  • Old, unoptimized, or heavy models (over 1–3 years old) may not be eligible for new outfit or toggle upgrades, as rigging methodologies and workflows evolve over time.

  • Requests for adjustments or upgrades after the 30-day warranty period will be treated as a new commission and are subject to current pricing, verification of archive availability, and current tier rates.

  • Previously rigged models are rarely accepted and require written permission from both the artist and original rigger.

  • The estimated turnaround time is 3–5 weeks per model. This timeline begins only after the initial deposit is confirmed and the PSD file has been officially approved.

  • Complex models requiring extra outfits, extensive toggles, or companions may require additional production time.

  • Rush requests or expedited deadlines are strictly not accepted.

  • Additional outfits or asset expansions may be scheduled and queued separately from the main model timeline.

  • Any unforeseen timeline adjustments or delays will be communicated transparently to the client as early as possible.

  • If feedback or files are not received within 7 days, work pauses and the deadline extends.

  • PSD preparation fees are strictly non-refundable once the preparation work has started, regardless of cancellation reasons or ToS violations by the client.

  • Partial refunds may be calculated and issued based on the current progress if the project is cancelled early by the client due to external reasons.

  • No refunds will be issued once the rigging progress has reached the halfway mark (defined as half-body parameters completed without arm toggles).

  • If the Rigger must permanently cancel the project due to unforeseen emergencies, a full refund of the rigging fee will be issued.

  • In a mutual cancellation scenario where substantial work has been done, the client will receive a partial refund along with the work-in-progress files completed up to that date.

  • If the client is unresponsive for 3 weeks after the final payment request, the project is considered abandoned.

  • Any form of ToS violation, miscommunication, or breach of agreement may result in project cancellation. Refunds, if applicable, will be determined based on the progress made at the time of cancellation.

  • The Rigger reserves the right to use the finished model, progress shots, or related assets for portfolio, tutorials, testing, or promotional purposes, unless a privacy fee has been settled before the project begins.

  • Models may appear in tutorials or testing.

  • Post-delivery assistance is provided until debut for small adjustments or clarifications.

  • The project will be showcased publicly only after the client's official debut or reveal.

  • However, the Rigger reserves the right to release the rigging showcase without further notice if the model has not debuted/released within 1 year of the project's completion date.

  • Clients with specific NDAs or strict marketing timelines must discuss and negotiate these terms during the booking process.

  • Rigging rights and intellectual property of the project, parameters, physics formulas, and source files (.cmo3) belong exclusively to Tea_con.

  • The client is granted a non-exclusive commercial license to use the delivered model for monetized streaming, content creation, and promotional activities (no extra commercial fees required).

  • Commissions only include runtime files (.moc3, .model3.json, etc.) formatted for tracking software use.

  • Source files (.cmo3) may be purchased for an additional 100% of the total invoice cost.

  • Exception for Legacy Models: Clients may open a discussion with the Rigger regarding the retrieval of the .cmo3 file for models older than 3 years. If the rigging methodologies and physics formulas used in the original model are deemed obsolete/outdated by the Rigger, the .cmo3 file may be provided free of charge. This is strictly applicable provided that the file is still available in the Rigger's archive, as backups are not guaranteed beyond the mandatory archiving period.

  • Redistribution, resale, or claiming the rig architecture as your own is strictly prohibited.

  • Models and their derivatives may not be used for AI training, ML datasets, NFT, or blockchain purposes.

  • The Rigger reserves the right to stream or showcase the rigging process unless a privacy fee has been settled.

  • Commission applications are accepted periodically via Google Form on Twitter.

  • Slots are confirmed once proper files are submitted. A schedule will be provided to the client afterward.

  • If the submitted PSD isn’t properly prepared, we’ll recommend our PSD prep service to help fix it before starting (PSD Prep Phase).

  • An invoice will be sent via Twitter DMs.

  • Work begins after the invoice is paid.

  • Progress videos or images will be sent periodically or when there’s enough progress to review. Adjustments will be made based on your feedback (Rigging Phase).

  • Once the rigging is complete, we’ll send prototype files for review before delivering the final ones.

  • Any small fixes requested after testing the project files will be corrected and a new version will be provided.

  • Ongoing assistance will be available if needed.

  • If you’d like to request additions or new features later, we can discuss scheduling. Current commissions will always take priority before adjustments or upgrades for past models.

FAQ

(Last updated: June 2026)

  • Q : How do I submit my commission request? A : You can submit your commission request through a Google Form that we periodically share on our Twitter and BlueSky. Keep an eye on our Twitter and BlueSky for updates on when applications are open.

  • Q : Do you offer support after the commission is completed? A : Yes, we provide free technical assistance and bug fixes within a strict 30-day warranty period after final delivery. Please note that all feedback during this time should be compiled and sent in a single run rather than repeated micro-feedback, so revisions can be handled efficiently. Any requests after the 30 days will be treated as a new commission.

  • Q : Can I request revisions or changes after my model is completed? A : Yes, we provide assistance after the commission is completed. If you have questions or need help with your model, feel free to reach out. Please note that all feedback should be compiled and not sent as repeated micro-feedback, so that revisions can be handled efficiently in a single run.

  • Q : Do you accept revisions or updates for models completed in previous years? A: I understand you want your model to look its best, but I am unfortunately unable to revise older projects. As time passes, my skills and workflow improve. Trying to fix a model made with older methods often hits technical roadblocks, making a full update nearly impossible without re-rigging the entire model from scratch. Because a complete re-rig demands the same time and resources as a new commission, I always ask clients to carefully review their model prototypes during our active project timeline so we can make all necessary adjustments together. If a revision is absolutely necessary, we’ll first review the file to determine if it’s still possible, though it’s strongly discouraged.

  • Q : Can I upgrade the rig at a later date? A : Yes! You’re welcome to request new features or modifications in the future. However, current commissions will take priority, and please note that rigs older than 1-3 years old may no longer be compatible with our current methods. We’ll review the file first to see if an upgrade is still possible.

  • Q : Why was my commission request declined after submission? A : Your commission request may be declined for various reasons, including but not limited to: submission of improperly formatted files, inability to fulfill your specific request based on our current workload, or if your request does not align with our service offerings. If you have questions about the decline, feel free to reach out.

  • Q : What is PSD prep? A : PSD prep is the process of preparing your PSD file for rigging, including: Layer separation; Consistent layer naming; and structuring the file for proper physics and rigging. This does not alter the overall aesthetic, except where necessary for technical compatibility.

  • Q : Why do you recommend repairing the PSD with your team instead of going back to the original artist? A : My team specializes in optimizing PSDs for Live2D, ensuring faster and more precise fixes for rigging. This saves time, avoids potential miscommunication with artists unfamiliar with Live2D requirements, and ensures consistency throughout the process.

  • Q : If my PSD is repaired by your team, will it change the appearance or style of the artwork? A : No, repairs done by my team won’t alter the appearance or style of the original artwork. We focus solely on technical adjustments, such as fixing layers, naming, masking, and clipping, to make the PSD ready for Live2D rigging while preserving the artistic details and aesthetics of the original design.

  • Q : What happens if I don’t want my PSD repaired by your team? A : This process can take longer and may not fully address the technical needs for Live2D rigging. To save time and ensure the best results, I recommend letting my team handle the repairs, as we specialize in preparing PSDs for seamless rigging. Please note that I prioritize commissions where the PSD repair is handled by my team to ensure a smoother and more efficient workflow.

  • Q : Can I fully control how the rigging is done? A: While I highly value your input regarding the character's personality and specific expressions, the technical execution and rigging methods remain under my professional discretion. To ensure the model meets my standards for optimization, stability, and core fluidity, I follow a specific workflow that balances artistic expression with technical performance. I am always open to feedback during the review phase, but fundamental rigging techniques are handled by me to guarantee the best possible result.

  • Q : Why don't you follow the usual back-and-forth feedback process between artist and rigger? A : To keep the process smooth and stress-free for everyone involved, we use a more streamlined workflow. Our goal is to make things as easy as possible for clients. Once payment is completed, you can relax while we handle the technical aspects without requiring constant back-and-forth between the artist and rigger. Artists are welcome to monitor the process to ensure the model’s artistic intent is preserved. However, rigging is performed based on the approved PSD. Back-and-forth coordination involving PSD modifications during this stage is discouraged, as it can disrupt the workflow and cause delays. If design changes or PSD adjustments are needed, they must be handled separately through the PSD preparation phase. This requires additional scheduling, coordination with our PSD preparation team, and may incur extra costs. This approach helps maintain consistent rigging quality while also respecting the artist’s workload by avoiding excessive revision cycles. In cases where something cannot be resolved on our side, we will reach out when necessary.

  • Q: Why don’t you accept bookings anymore? A: Due to various uncertainties like PSD readiness, model complexity, and scheduling, I no longer accept bookings in advance. If your PSD is ready and you're prepared, feel free to reach out. I’ll help schedule your slot accordingly.

  • Q: Can you DM me when commissions open? A: I don’t do individual DM notifications. A lot of people ask for this, and it wouldn’t be fair or realistic to notify everyone one by one. When commissions open, I always announce it publicly on Twitter / bsky.

  • Q: Do you do Live2D art + rigging? A: I only do Live2D rigging. I don’t offer Live2D art services. The model art needs to be fully prepared by an artist beforehand.

  • Q: Do you have a price list / fixed prices? A: No fixed price list. Pricing is based on model complexity and scope, and is evaluated during commission openings.

  • Q: Does the rigger provide aesthetic advice or art direction? A: No. The rigger focuses solely on technical aspects. Aesthetic aspects like proportions, style, shading, expressions, are subjective and determined by the artist. However, technical considerations like proportions for proper rigging (e.g., side views) may still be taken into account.

  • Q: Why are the rates positioned at this level? A: My rigging philosophy centers on the balance between Range of Motion (XYZ) and Physical Stability. While many focus on adding numerous toggles, I prioritize perfecting the deformation and ensuring that fluid physics remain stable even at extreme angles. This "Golden Ratio" approach ensures your model feels responsive and "alive" without sacrificing optimization. My goal is to provide a stable, expressive foundation for your tracking, prioritizing fluid movement over an extensive list of additional toggles.

  • Q: Why shouldn't the PSD resolution for Live2D be too large? A: High resolutions heavily impact Live2D performance, both during the rigging process and in the final output. For example, a 4000px × 8000px canvas is already considered quite large. While it is still doable for simple model designs with minimal cuts, low ArtMesh counts, and few to no toggles, it is rarely practical. Realistically, most VTubers want add-ons like extra costumes, expressions, or toggles, which quickly drains memory. To maintain crisp, high-quality visuals while keeping memory usage optimally low, I highly recommend keeping your canvas size under 6000px on its longest side.
