but you need luck in order to rebirth lol, you missed the entire point of what i said

i was kind of enjoying the game until rebirth, to be honest tying your ability to rebirth to an entirely luck based mechanic is just plain poor design, youre basically gauranteeing a certain percentage of the people who play are going to have a bad time, im not gonna farm 15k more wishes after i just spent like 20 minutes trying to get a single falling star. It gets harder to make anothe prayer each time so if you fail 5 or 6 times in a row you just lose any interest in continueing to be punished for nothing that was your fualt. All you have to do is change it so that on the fifth or sixth prayer you automatically get one star or something, or make it so your odds of getting a star increase every time you fail so that you are at least rewarded somehow for a fail... or just make it so you just have to pray 5 times and you can restart if you want you dont NEED to spend a star... honestly there are dozens of different ways you could fix this major issue... as it is i just cant recommend the game to others
I didnt really enjoy it, the upgrades cost way too much for how little impact they had, i ended up falling into a routine where i just kept mindlessly shooting the balls aiming for medium power as fast as i could without even watching how they fell because i knew it was gonna take me several runs just to unlock 1 powerup which would only barely increase my income, for examply it took me 2 runs to unlock green balls, ok a ball that increases my score 20% cool, then i start the next run and all my balls are grey, then i finally got a single green ball on the run after that, then when i finally shot the green ball it hit like 2 pegs...so it took me 2 runs to unlock an upgrade that i didnt even see right away, only to have it increase my income by like 0.5% for 1 out of my next two runs...
another example is the teleporter thing took me several runs to unlock that, then i get it and it barely does anything, and then when it DOES catch a ball at the bottom it just sends it back to my laucnher? what the heck it should teleport it to the top so it can keep falling, sending it back to the launcher is pointless it just gives me an extra launch, i can get 6 more launches just by pressing the keep playing button when i run out so its basically worthless
ok so then i gind a bit more and unlock a laser, that sounds cool what could go wrong..... it shoots like 3 times in an entire run and hits a grey peg ever time giving me like 20 extra money each time.... 60 extra money? i need like 10,000-15,000 for an upgrade what is the point of 60 money
in a game like this upgrades should feel fun and rewarding and make you feel like youre getting cool powerups that change things in a meaningful way, they shouldnt be things that you barely even notice, or if you want to make them super weak then make them way cheaper
nice game, as others have said the performance is a bit rough, playing on a laptop with no graphics card works for a bit but falls off quick. it was fun but i didnt really understand how the boundaries work and how the outposts interact with the different boundaries, am i supposed to link outposts together? am i supposed to put 1 outpost around food that is outside the solid line but within the dotted line? cant really tell so i just didnt use outposts at all cause i couldnt figure it out, anyways hope you get it working the way you want it maybe ill check it out again later
I like the concept but its hard to figure out what i should be focusing on without the proper info, how much attack speed do i gain if i focus on dex? how much crit from perception? how much damage from strength? are the weapon bonuses to exp additive or multiplicitive? is it better to use a sword when im training strength or just stick with bow if im an archer build? Felt like i hit a wall pretty quickly, and the reward for my prestige points or legend points or whatever felt very small, im gonna redo the same thing but now with 10% more exp? i dunno, anyways i do like the overall concept and this seems like a pretty solid begining idea but i hope it gets smoothed out for a more rewarding experience
Thematically its pretty cool but conceptually its extremely weak, im not gonna play a clicker game where i have to click for 5 minutes straight without getting an upgrade just to eventually get an upgrade that doesnt really feel impactful at all. Upgrades are too costly to have too little impact , increasing the value of an artifact really only matters if it ends up being found near the end of a longer combo which happens infrequently, so you have to make many artifact upgrade before it feels impactful. Just for feedback purposes i played for about 15 minutes, I probably would have quit sooner if the thematic elements werent as good as I did enjoy the little voice and eery vibes, but the actual gameplay is unrewarding or uninteresting.
Very cool begining, I like the design its very clean. I look forward to seeing how the development process continues.
Only 2 issues,
1.when i reached era 7 and had about 150 ancient blood my dread income was so high it flipped negative.
2. I did not like how the color theme is changing every era, some of them kind of strained my eyes a little and was annoying, my favorite colors was from era 4 so i would rather it just be that color the whole way through... or at least less changes i dunno.
Best of luck to you my friend
edit* oh ya also "hunter threat" should be explained somewhere but my guess is it doesnt do a whole lot yet
I dont really like it, i dont understand the point of making the plants get more hp as you play, i just end up getting weaker and weaker, i start out taking a few clicks per plant then as i progress it becomes 4-5 then 9 clicks.... makes the game less fun no thanks, it should be the opposite, start off taking lots of clicks then you get stronger and it takes less clicks
I bought the merchants ring from the vendor for 10k and then it never showed up in my inventory, scammed... Also why does my minimum damage never go up wtf? So i have all this new gear i spent an hour grinding up to iron to get and then i still can do 1 damage? scammed again, rename game to lord of scam idle.
I played the game while i took a crap, my poop smelled really bad this time. As far as the game goes it has some potential, definitely more potential than the poop i just dropped in the toilet. Anyways, blacksmithing is always a fun concept for incremental games, for me the prestige system needs work I just didnt feel very rewarded and also it doesnt matter how well you did i guess your goal is to just prestige as fast as you can? There is also just a crazy amount of clicking in this game constantly selling/delivering/buying, hard to do while youre pooping. Im not sure how to fix that seeing as how im just a guy who poops a lot, good luck with the game, smell ya later.
fun Idea, I know youre still in the early beta so I know a lot of changes are still going to happen but heres my feedback after playing 20 minutes for some things to keep in mind while you develop the game.
First and most important is that the variance you built into the projectile aim just makes the game less fun, if I shoot and the bullet misses how am I supposed to tell if thats because my aim needs to be adjusted or I just got bad rng? So many times I shoot and think my aim is bad so i make a small adjustment the other direction and then the bullet flies straight the next shot and I end up missing again, thats anti fun, not fun.
Second and maybe less important as this is more just a stylistic choice but the upgrades are expensive and dont feel incredibly impactful. A lot of repetition and grinding from the very begining for very little feeling of reward. If it was an idle game or something I could understand the way the grind is set up but since I have to be 100% active it sort of just ends up feeling like im shooting bullets for no reason.
Third, since the units get stronger as the waves progress but you dont get more money that means its just more efficient to never complete a stage you may as well go to the next stage and just do the first wave or two over and over.
also obviously at some point needs a save function if you want people to properly test the game.
