This app is free and that's good but comparing with similar list managers, this one lacks behind a little bit. It's interface is rather complicated and confusing. Colors are also not very attractive. This app is a nice option for people who create lists time at a time and don't need to do this permanently and systematically. Otherwise it's better to purchase an app that would be more functional and available to be customized to any demand.

I find this very useful if a little involved. If you need great oversight of your tasks this is quite good but not beautiful. I couldn't see an obvious way to interface these tasks with project collaboration software, which is what I'm really looking for. I've yet to see that feature if any task-oriented Mac apps. Task Coach is worth evaluating at minimum. What I need is something that can talk to services like pivotaltracker.com and project software, import/export mind maps and outlines as tasks, semiautomatic rescheduling of many tasks, iCal support and an IOS app (Android would be nice). That seems hard do come by, even though I feel like it must exist.

While not being the most beautiful app I have seen, it is worth a donation. It allows me organizing my tasks from different projects and track them. It is also multi platform, so I can use it on Mac and Linux natively. It has also the possibility to send a Todo.txt file to your dropbox. As for now, my choice to get things done.

GUI is a real mess. As a loyal Calibre user, I don't require an app to use a native OS X interface, but I do expect it to be reasonably polished. Task Coach is anything but. The icons are too small and they lack contrast. Many of the widgets are white against a light gray background. The GUI layout has no rhyme or reason, it is simply loaded up with controls with no meaningful representation of what they do. Aside from the GUI disaster zone, this app is loaded with features, is cross-platform, and costs nothing (iOS app is $1). If you don't mind fighting against an ugly GUI, then it's worth considering, especially given the $40-$50 price of competing apps. 2Do is the polar opposite of Task Coach, featuring a GUI that is a work of art. It is my favorite of the GSD apps.

I started using Task Coach about a week ago as an alternative to an older, less capable Mac/iPhone synching to do list app, and I have a LOT of stuff in it already. However, I started running into a problem with the sync, which is critical for me. I reviewed the error code that I'd pulled up from taskcoachlog.txt as they recommended on their site, and provided a copy of it to them with a bug report. One of the senior developers fixed it within 24 hours, and this new version (1.3.37) is the result. Wow, how's that for responsive?
