Chisom's work encompasses multidisciplinary art projects, storytelling, research, archiving, curating, film production, and directing residency programmes. His work bridges the gap between various disciplines, collaborating closely with emerging artists across mediums to facilitate the production of their work while ensuring that all initiatives have an impact on community engagement and aid in documentation.

Through his efforts, he highlights the intersection of art, identity, and social justice, striving to dismantle the barriers that society imposes on marginalised artists and producing work that serves as a reference for the future.

In 2024 as acting Creative Director, Chisom co-curated a major exhibition for Obodo Nigeria on 'The Politics of Queerness,' where seven artists explored the theme through various mediums, demonstrating the importance of resistance and the role of art in reshaping and documenting the world around them whilst celebrating the joy, resilience, and love that have shaped the lives of many queer individuals in Nigeria, a country where same-sex marriage is criminalised.

After this, he has gone on to curate exhibitions and panels across Lagos, working with The Lagos Gallery Weekend, AMAH Studios, and The Ark by Anny Roberts. He currently oversees programming and exhibitions at A Third Space, a community rethinking gathering for artists and creatives in Lagos.

He has also collaborated with Black artists from the diaspora as a residency director, creating a cross-cultural ecosystem that centres on the intersection of the arts and human rights, examining how the former can be harnessed for the liberation of LGBTQ+ individuals in Nigeria and across the continent. Through this collaboration, he curated performance art showcases, assisted artists in producing their films and books, organised workshops and partnerships, and archived all creations produced.

As a curator, Chisom also works in understanding our relationship with architecture and how space affects and oftentimes controls a people.

Much of his work builds on his experience as a researcher, enhancing his approach to working directly with artists.
