I think this is my third rewatch, every episodes are masterpiece. I felt the sorrow and lonesome so much. Even tho I know the ending would be, Violet would stay forever in my heart. On the first watch, I was very young and this anime was also my first heartbreak, I watched this while it’s ongoing. For the second when I was bored on my thesis, so I had to watch, for escape. And last, I watched this with my husband (on the third rewatch) he cried more than me LOL
This movie didn’t shock me with gore or big battle scenes, since the animation style is too cute. Is that even intentional? T__T
It hurts to see her trying to eat, to cook, trying to stay kind, trying to survive, TRYING TO DRAW while the world keeps shrinking around her. I finished it quiet, with that heavy feeling in my chest. As a woman, I couldn’t stop thinking about how often she has to swallow fear, feeling the uncomfort, and keep moving.
It’s not only about running, it’s also about how giving it your all and looking back at all the things you've done for yourself. Such an amazing and unique animation… so fluid… so INSANEEEE… so well-made… so realistic…
Too realistic that I started to run this evening myself! I cried in the end of the movie likee… ugly cry!
Alright then, I will give my second chance to watch Orb: On the Movements of the Earth again!
One of the best movies I watch in 2026!
