Techniques in Coloproctology is an international journal devoted to epidemiologic, pathologic, diagnostic, and therapeutic studies relevant to the management of colorectal and pelvic floor diseases, and presents the latest progress in diagnostic and operative procedures.

    We are excited to announce that Techniques in Coloproctology has now become a fully open access (OA) journal as of January 2025. This means that we will only be publishing articles as Open Access meaning content will be and freely available to readers worldwide, enabling the widest possible dissemination and reuse. 

  • Passing of our friend Giuseppe Gagliardi

    It is with great regret that we announce the death of Giuseppe Gagliardi, our friend, colleague and Editor In Chief. 

    Under Guiseppe’s leadership Techniques in Coloproctology has gone from strength to strength. His dedication to the journal was clear and he continued to work tirelessly until the very end.  He will be sorely missed.
